Recipe for the day... Steak in Garlic Mayonnaise Sauce

1 kg rump steak, cut into 4–6 steaks
30 ml Cajun spice
15 ml lemon pepper
salt to taste
60 ml oil/Olive oil
Garlic mayonnaise sauce
100 ml vinegar
60 ml chilli garlic sauce or fruit chutney
60 ml mustard sauce
60 ml Worcestershire sauce
250 ml mayonnaise
60 ml crushed garlic
100 ml chopped fresh parsley
Garlic mayonnaise sauce:
Place all the sauce ingredients in a bowl and mix together well.
Place steak, Cajun spice, lemon pepper and salt in a bowl and mix through well. Heat oil in a griddle pan and fry steak on both sides for 10–12 minutes over medium heat or till tender. Press steak down in pan to get griddle lines on both sides.
Place steaks in a wide pot and cover with sauce. Simmer over low heat till steak is tender and well coated with sauce. Serve with garlic fried rice.
Serves 4 to 6
