ILM-SA will in sha Allah be hosting a short course designed to help WOMEN recite the Surahs we commonly read in Salaah.
This course will be taught by Ruqayya Paruk who studied Quran and tajweed in Syria.
It will run on Tuesdays for 5 weeks as follows:
Tuesday 31st May 9am to 10.30am
Tuesday 7th June 9am to 10.30am
Tuesday 14th June 9am to 10.30am
Tuesday 21st June 9am to 10.30am
Tuesday 28th June 9am to 10.30am
Ruqayya did something similar for us last year and Alhamdulillah it was very beneficial.
She is extremely thorough and very passionate and even sisters who knew no tajweed at all took a lot back from it. Those of us who knew some tajweed benefitted as well.
Over these five weeks:
- she will help us recite the Surahs we recite in Salaah correctly with tajweed
- go over the meanings and explanations of a selection of Surahs
The course is R300 in total not per lesson (we are a charitable organization) but anyone unable to afford the fee can pay whatever they can afford or nothing at all.
Classes will take place in the first classroom on the left upstairs at the NMJ Islamic Centre.
You can try the first lesson and then decide if you want to commit to the remainder of the course.
