Plain Sponge Cake


4 eggs separated
1 cup sugar
I/4 cup oil
1/2 cup boiling water
1 1/4 cup flour sieved with
2 1/2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp essence
I used caramel

Beat egg whites n sugar till soft peak form
Throw in egg yolks beat
Add essence
Add flour little at a tym beat
Lastly mix oil n water add mix

I divided my batter on 2 coloured pink half n left plain
Put in pan and bake for about 20 to 25 mins in preheated oven

For lemon cake
Add lemon essence n yellow colour n abit of lemon rind

For raspberry flavour add raspberry essence n a bit of pink colour

Fro orange flavour
Add orange essence orange colour n little orange rind
For this orange cake I divide my batter in to 2 add cocoa to one n orange to the other
