Salwaa's Jeera Chilli Potatoes

Salwaa Smith - Cape Malay Cooking & Other Delights
Quick & easy side dish.
1kg potatoes boiled until 3/4 cooked
Braise 1 large onion in vegetable oil untill golden brown
1tsp ginger
1tsp garlic
2-3 green chillies chopped
1/2 can chopped tomatoes (optional)
1tsp coriander powder
1 tsp jeera / cumin
1 tsp turmeric
1/2 tsp chilli powder
1tsp salt
Add pre boiled potatoes and cook untill soft.
Add little water at a time. I like it to be on the dry side.
Garnish with chopped Corriander
