The Crazy Season

It's the crazy season again! Everyone starts acting crazy & doing weird stuff that they don't normally do!

Ladies biggest concern is there domestic help will be gone for 3 weeks!!! While the men's biggest concern is expenses because wives are

Definitely NOT staying home and doing housework!!

So while we lament that there's no one around to clean our beautiful houses, let's not forget that we HAVE beautiful houses to live in, While the people in Syria have had their homes bombed....

While we scream at our kids to put away things and to clean up behind themselves, lets not forget that in Syria, people see their children killed right before their eyes....

While our biggest lament is ;"Oh mahnnn...I don't know what to cook!", Even though our fridges and freezers are stocked to the brim,

Let's not forget our brothers and sisters in Syria who don't know where their next meal is coming from....

While our concern is what am I wearing to so & so's wedding, because "I have nothing to wear!!"

Let's not forget the thousands of Syrian brothers and sisters who had to flee their homes with the clothes on their back!

While we sit, complacent , being ungrateful for the thousands of blessings that Allah Ta'ala has blessed us with,

Let's not forget the words of our Syrian brother, who after having his entire family wiped out in a bomb, turns to Allah Ta'ala and says that

"Allah Ta'ala will not test us in vain!"

While we concern ourselves with trivial fightings over Masaail on whether we can read salaah with or without a topee,

Let's not forget our Syrian brothers who have to ask fatwas if its ok for them to kill their wives, sisters, daughters before they are raped infront of them by rebel forces....

While our kids cry over things that they want which they feel entitled to, lets not forget the Syrian children who can't even cry anymore because they are exposed to things that children should never have to witness, like death and destruction and rivers of blood, ash and dust....

While we can scroll through videos and photos of such atrocities without blinking an eye or shedding a tear .

Let's not forget the words of Nabi صلي الله عليه وسلم when he said that the Ummah is like one body, when one part is hurt, the rest of the body feels pain....

Oh Ummah!! Let's not forget our humanity! Let us remember all the suffering around the world in our Prayers everyday!! Let us not be selfish in our duas also, where we ask only for ourselves and our loved ones.

Pray for the Ummah! Pray for humanity!! Pray for ourselves that we can be guided and be amongst those that Allah Ta'ala is pleased with....

Let us remember the Ummah and stop being selfish, worrying only about us and our needs and wants...

Let us stop pretending that all's good in my world .‎
