VIRTUES OF SALAAH DUHA/ CHAST

Its Virtures:

Abu Dharr radhiallahu anhu narrated that the Prophet (sallallahu alaihe wassallam) reportedly said, “Every morning charity is due on the bones and joints of your body. Every saying of 'SubhaanAllah' is a charitable act; every saying of 'Alhumdullilah' is a charitiable act and every saying of ‘Laa illaaha illallah' is a charitable act; every saying of ‘Allahu akbar’ is a charitable act; ordering good is a charitable act; eradicating evil is a charitable act. To fulfill that charity, it is sufficient to pray two rakat of salaatul duha.” (Muslim)

Al-Bukhaari (1981) and Muslim (721) narrated from the hadeeth of Abu Hurayrah (radhiallahu anhu) that he said: 'My close friend (Prophet Muhammed sallallahu alayhi wasallam) advised me to do three things: to fast three days of every month (ayyam al beed), to pray two rak‘ahs of Duha, and to pray Witr before going to sleep.'

Sayyida A’isha (radhiallahu anha) narrates that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam ) would offer four rak’ats at the time of Duha, and increase on it whatever Allah wished. (Sahih Muslim)

•• Salaatul Duha is performed when ¼ of the day has passed from Fajr and the sun has risen quite high such that the camels hooves begin to burn (ie.the heat of the suns rays can be felt). [Halabi in Sharh Kabeer, pg. 390].
