Surah Al-Isra':
This Surah was revealed in Makkah.

The Virtues of Surah Al-Isra'

Ibn Mas`ud ((RA)  said concerning Surah Al-Isra', Al-Kahf and Maryam: "They are among the earliest and most beautiful Surahs and they are my treasure.''

Imam Ahmad (ra) recorded that `A'ishah (RA)  said: "The Messenger of Allah (SAW) used to recite Bani Isra'il (Surah Al Isra') and Az-Zumar every night.''

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَـنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the Name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

سُبْحَانَ الَّذِى أَسْرَى بِعَبْدِهِ لَيْلاً مّنَ الْمَسْجِدِ الْحَرَامِ إِلَى الْمَسْجِدِ الاْقْصَى الَّذِى بَارَكْنَا حَوْلَهُ لِنُرِيَهُ مِنْ ءايَاتِنَآ إِنَّهُ هُوَ السَّمِيعُ البَصِيرُ

{1. Glorified be He Who took His servant for a Journey by Night from Al-Masjid Al-Haram to Al-Masjid Al-Aqsa, the neighborhood whereof We have blessed, in order that We might show him of Our Signs. Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.}
