Tajweed classes

“Aapa Ruqayya is a wonderful, dedicated, cheerful and patient teacher. Alhamdulillah, I have learnt a lot about tajweed and how to apply it when reciting the Qur’an. Her classes are inspirational. I can’t wait for the next round of classes to begin.”
“I managed to attend just two blocks of lessons with Ruqayya, but learnt the makhaarij, the rules of tajweed and to recite a few surahs properly. Ruqayya is so patient.”

This is just some of the feedback ILM-SA has received regarding its tajweed classes for women, taught by Mu’allimah Ruqayya Paruk.

Due to the positive response, we have decided to begin a new block of classes, starting on TUESDAY 25th April 2017.

Please find all relevant details below:

DATES: Eight Consecutive Tuesdays: April 25, May 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, June 6 and 13

1) BEGINNERS CLASSES: for women who have little or no prior knowledge of the rules of tajweed
TIME OPTION ONE: 8.30am to 9.30am
TIME OPTION TWO: 9.45am to 10.45am

2) INTERMEDIATE CLASSES: for women who are familiar with tajweed concepts like the makhaarij of letters, full and empty mouth letters and the rules of noon saakin and tanween

Kindly note that in order to attend the intermediate classes, you will first need to be telephonically assessed by the teacher, even if you have previously attended her classes. She will then advise if you should attend a beginners’ class or an intermediate class.

FEES: As we are a charity, involved in various projects aimed at assisting the underprivileged, we request that people who can afford to do so make a minimum donation of R400 towards our organisation, R200 of which can be paid on 25th April, and the remainder of which can be paid on the 23rd June. Alternatively you may donate whatever you can afford to donate.

PLEASE NOTE: Class sizes are limited to 10 students each, hence it is necessary to register in advance. Please Whatsapp (only) ILM-SA at 083 271 4500 to register or more information.
