Some of the biggest designer names in India are on their way to the Haute Fashion Extravaganza that takes place on 28-30 July 2017 at The Square Boutique Hotel, Umhlanga Durban.
The show is a collaboration between Haute Events by Nafeesa Joosab, local SA celebrity fashion designer Haroun Hansrot and businessman Faisal Supariwala who have appointed internationally acclaimed Bollywood celebrity stylist, Eshaa Amiin as curator of the show.
Amiin has been the head stylist of Miss India and has also worked with A-list celebrities like Karishma Kapoor, Lara Dutta, Sania Mirza, Sridevi, Saif Ali Khan, Akshay Kumar and Madhuri Dixit. Her work has featured internationally, in popular magazines Filmfare and Forbes as well as movies like Singh is Bling.
Amiin has announced designers Manish Arora, Aza, Gauri and Nainika, Malani Ramani, Rajat Tangri, Babita Malkani, Nupur Kanoi, Arti Vijaygupta, Kartikeya, Devnaagri and Aditi Holani will feature at the show.
"Indian by Manish Arora", is a brand designed for the growing Indian market for women's wear, with stores in India and Paris. Arora looks forward to exhibiting in Durban and bringing his designs which are well known for his signature unique play of colors.
Aza, a leading fashion store in India founded by Dr Alka Nishar offers showgoers the finest in Indian fashion. The store offers a one stop for design wear for all fashionistas and will have their latest offerings available for Durban.
With flagship stores in Delhi and Goa, Malani Ramani is no stranger to the fashion industry. Her glamorous clothing range is styled with her simple design philosophy: she only creates clothes that she herself would wear.
Gauri and Nainika, well known for their eveningwear brand with styles ranging from cocktail dresses to elaborate bespoke gowns, offer glamorous, elegant and chic clothing for shoppers.
Australian-Indian Rajat Tangri who specializes in couture and pret lines and famous for dressing
Paris Hilton, Kylie Minogue and Priyanka Chopra, offers an easy going and wearable range that will be available at the show.
More designers will be announced soon. There's also an official launch of two international
brands, SHOP EAT SLEEP by Nafeesa Joosab, a new app available at the Playstore Android and
IOS on Apple, that looks at places to shop at, eat and stay at globally, when traveling overseas.
GIA (Gemological Institute of America) accredited Shabnum Moosa will be launching I HEART GEMS, a jewelry blog and online store that looks into the beautiful sparkly world of jewelry and gems.
The three day line up in Durban includes a fashion show and VIP Evening with leading designers on Friday 28 July. Visitors will enjoy a special preview and late night shopping experience. Followed is a two day exhibition on 29-30 July, open free to the public.
