Syrian Refugee Crisis Presentation (Update)

*My experiences inside Syria and with refugees in neighbouring countries.* Dr Rosanne Symons is a medical doctor who works in the emergency unit of a Durban hospital, and she also assists various surgeons with their operations. Her core passion, however, is volunteering in war-torn areas and aiding refugees, particularly in the Middle East.

Dr Rosanne has been involved in the Syrian crisis since it started almost 9 years ago, and she is an enthusiastic advocate about the conflict and the horror the Syrians are enduring.
“I really want people to be aware of the dire situation inside Syria and of the plight of these people, what they have gone through and how beautiful they are." In addition to their medical injuries, she also has a deep concern for their mental health and the psychological effects of people living in these distressing circumstances, as well as for the healthcare workers serving in such extreme conditions.
