recitation of durood

WHY RECITE DUROOD EXCESSIVELY IN TIMES OF DISTRESS?
Hazrat Mufti Muhammad Taqi Uthmāni Sahib حفظه الله said that Aarif Billāh Hazrat Dr Abdul Hayy Sahib رحمه الله advised that if anyone is in difficulty, he must frequently invoke blessings on Sayyidina Rasoolullah صلي الله عليه وسلم. Hazrat Aarifi رحمه الله explained the reason; he said that we learn from the Hadith that when anyone invokes blessings on our Noble Master صلي الله عليه وسلم, the angels convey them to him and submit to him the name of his Ummati who had invoked blessings. Now we know that it was the practice of Sayyidina Rasoolullah صلي الله عليه وسلم in his life that if anyone had given him a gift, he was sure to reciprocate. If we consider this aspect, we can safely conclude that it will not be possible that Sayyidina Rasoolullah صلي الله عليه وسلم receive the gift of Durood Shareef and not reciprocate. He صلي الله عليه وسلم will certainly respond. He صلي الله عليه وسلم will reciprocate by making a duaa for this individual; "O Allah! This Ummati who is invoking blessings on me is in difficulty and distress. O Allah! Remove his problem from him."

Thus Allah Ta'ala will relieve the difficulty of the one who is in distress. We further learn that whenever we are confronted by any problems, we should at once resort to Durood Shareef. This is a simple but potent prescription. May Allah Ta'ala grant us the tawfeeq to be excessive in Durood Shareef.

Surah Yusuf - Verse 15

Surah Yusuf, Verse 15:

{15. So, when they took him away and agreed to put him in the bottom of the well, and We revealed to him: "Indeed, you shall certainly inform them about this affair of theirs, while they do not perceive [your identity].”}

{and agreed to put him in the bottom of the well,) This part of the verse magnifies their crime, in that it mentions that they all agreed to throw him to the bottom of the well. This was their intent, yet when they took him from their father, they pretended otherwise, so that their father sends him with a good heart and feeling at ease and comfortable with his decision. It was reported that Ya`qub, peace be upon him, embraced Yusuf, kissed him and supplicated to Allah for him when he sent him with his brothers.

As-Suddi said that the time spent between pretending to be well-wishers and harming Yusuf was no longer than their straying far from their father's eyes. They then started abusing Yusuf by cursing him and beating him. When they reached the well, they tied him with a rope and lowered him down. When Yusuf would beg one of them, he would hit and curse him. When he tried to hold onto the sides of the well, they would strike his hand. They then cut the rope when he was only half the distance from the bottom of the well. He fell into the water and was submerged. However, he managed to climb onto a stone that was in the well and stand on it. Allah said next,

{and We revealed to him: "Indeed, you shall certainly inform them about this affair of theirs, while they do not perceive (your identity).’'}
Here Allah mentions His compassion and His relief that He sends in times of distress. Allah revealed to Yusuf in order to comfort his heart and strengthen his resolve, `Do not be saddened by what you have suffered. Surely, you will have a way out of this distress and a good end, for Allah will aid you against them and elevate your rank. Later on, you will remind them of what they did to you.'

Somewhere, somewhat, somehow, we've lost the plot in this life. We've forgotten why we're here. We need to refocus before it's too late.

You've heard this countless times. Let go of the past. Yes, you must. Trust that when you reach your final point, only good awaits you!

It's good to know where you're going. We're all headed to the same final destination. But be kind & don't mistreat others along the way.

Time lost is time wasted. You'll never get it back. No amount of regret can change it. May the Almighty help us make best use of our time.

Surah Yusuf - Verse 23

Surah Yusuf, Verse 23:

{And she, in whose house he was, sought to seduce him. She closed the doors and said, "Come, you." He said, "[I seek] the refuge of Allah. Indeed, he is my master, who has made good my residence. Indeed, wrongdoers will not succeed.”}

Allah states that the wife of the `Aziz of Egypt, in whose house Yusuf resided, tried to seduce him! Yusuf was very handsome, so she beautified herself for him, closed the doors and called him, but he refused. Yusuf said to her, `your husband is my master who provided me with comfortable living and was kind to me, so I will never betray him by committing immoral sins with his wife.'
{Verily, the wrongdoers will never be successful.}

Surah Yusuf - Verse 22

Surah Yusuf, Verse 22:

{And when Yusuf reached his full strength, We gave him judgment and knowledge. And thus We reward the doers of good.}

{his full strength} - sound in mind and perfect in body,

{We gave him judgement and knowledge} which is the prophethood that Allah sent him with.

{thus We reward the doers of good} because Yusuf used to do good in the obedience of Allah the Exalted.

Surah Yusuf - Verse 13 to 14

Surah Yusuf, Verses 13-14:

{13. He (Ya`qub) said: "Truly, it saddens me that you should take him away. I fear lest a wolf should devour him, while you are heedless of him.’' 14. They said: "If a wolf devours him, while we are `Usbah (a clan), then surely, we are the losers.''}

Meaning, 'If a wolf should attack and devour him while we are all around him in a strong group, then indeed we are the losers and weak.'

It was hard on Ya’qub to be separated from Yusuf. This demonstrates the deep love that he had for his son, because he saw in Yusuf great goodness and exalted qualities.

Surah Yusuf - Verse 11 to 12

Surah Yusuf, Verses 11-12:

{11. They said: "O our father! Why do you not trust us with Yusuf though we are indeed his well-wishers’’ 12. "Send him with us tomorrow to enjoy himself and play, and indeed we will take care of him.’'}

Haraam food

The evil of a morsel of Haraam food.

Narrated by Hadhrat Abu Bakr RadiAllahu Anhu

Rasulullaah Salallahu Alayhi Wasallam said, “Jahannam is best suited to the body that is nourished on Haraam food.”
[Bayhaqi 5518]

It is not permissible to earn and eat from Haraam wealth. This causes the goodness and blessings of a household to be lost.

An engine works well when good fuel and oil is used.

In today's lifestyle everything seems to be commercialised.
It becomes so much important to ensure that everything we eat is halaal and tayyib. Which can be beneficial for our imaan and health.
If a haraam morsel enters our bellies than for 40 days our duas wont be accepted.

Haraam - completely avoid.
Halaal - happily accept.
Doubtful - refrain which is the best option. This is Taqwa.

Remember : Haraam consumption leads to sins.

May Allaah bless us with halaal rizq.

Surah Fatiha

A SHORT AND BEAUTIFUL EXPLANATION OF SURAH FATIHAH

Abu Hurairah radhiyallahu anhu reported: I heard Rasoolullahi sallalahu alaihi wasallam narrating a Hadith Qudsi in which Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'aala has said, "I have divided Surah Fatihah into two halves between Me and My slave, and my slave will receive what he asks. So, when His slave says Alhamdulillahi Rabbil Aalameen (Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the universe), Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says "My slave has praised Me!".

And when His slave says Arrahmanirraheem (The Compassionate, the Merciful), Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says "My slave has extolled Me!"

And when His slave says Maliki Yaumiddeen (Master of the Day of Judgement), Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says "My slave has glorified Me! (or) entrusted Me!"

And when His slave says Iyyaka Na'budu wa iyyaka nasta'een (You alone do we worship and You alone do we seek for help), Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says "This is between Me and My slave, so whatever he asks, it will be granted.

And when His slave says Ihdinas Siratal mustaqeem siraatal ladhina an'amta 'alaihim ghairil maghdhubi 'alaihim wa laddaallin (Guide us to the straight path, the path of those upon whom You have bestowed favours and not of those who have incurred Your wrath and nor of those who have gone astray), Allah Subhanahu Wa Ta'ala says, "This (part of the Surah is exclusively) for My slave and my slave shall receive whatever he has asked for.

Dua for debts

Hazrat Ali Radi Allahu anhu says that if a person reads the following dua, his debts shall be wiped out, even if they are equivalent to a mountain.

Al’laah hum’ma Akfini Bi Halaalika A’n Haraamika Aghnini Bi Fadhlika Am’man Siwaaka

“O Allaah, grant me sufficiency in your halaal (lawful) provision from the unlawful, And free me by your Grace from all besides You.”

(Mishkaat Shareef Pg.216 – Tirmizi Shareef Vol.1 Pg.195).

Mufthi Menk

As we mature, develop and travel, we also learn more about the cultures and ways of others. We learn to respect their right to follow what they wish and expect the same in return.

Racism is wrong. We totally reject it. It's not your skin colour but the colour of your thoughts and what lies in your heart that matter.

There's a fallacy that a "religious" person is hard, cold and harsh. Far from it. When you're close to the Almighty, He softens your heart!
If you're god-fearing, your heart should be softened not hardened towards others. If you find it otherwise, it's your ego and not your piety.

When you put your happiness in someone else's hand, expect to be disappointed. Put it in the Hands of your Maker; He will never disappoint!

One of the reasons we're unhappy is we think too much. Keep your mind away from things that don't help you. Positive thoughts go a long way.

Whatever you do in life, always be mindful of your Creator. Ask of Him, seek help from Him. He will guide & protect you in all situations.

The biggest test Muslimah Mummies face

A house that never stays clean and children who have a mind of their own. What can you do to stay calm?
By Nourin Ibrahim
Abu Dhabi, UAE

You have finally finished the dishes and the kitchen looks tidy, but the surprise waiting for you in the living room raises your blood pressure so much that you lose control over yourself.
The floor you wiped just moments ago is littered with toys, biscuit pieces and juice spilled all over.

Being a mother, the biggest challenge I face is being patient at so many such incidents in everyday life and I believe it’s the same with the majority of us.

Let me admit: I FAIL in most of the cases!

For us, patience is extremely important since Allah has mentioned it several times in the Qur’an and the rewards for it really quite tempting.

and be patient. Indeed, Allah is with the patient.
(Qur’an 8:46)

Except for those who are patient and do righteous deeds; those will have forgiveness and great reward.
(Qur’an 11:11)

Many more such verses enhance the importance of patience.

As Muslimah Mummies, it is very clear to us that being patient is not just about controlling our anger in order to be a good mother, but firstly it is to obey Allah.
Here are some smart tactics to save yourself from regrets:

ߎȁAbsorb the fact that your kids are an amanah from Allah This will help you be extra cautious when you are dealing with them.

ߎȕUnderstand and keep reminding yourself that there are a whole lot of women doing whatever they can in order to conceive. Being a mother is a gift.

ߎȉIf we are able to live with and take care of our children then we should be more grateful because there are so many mothers who are separated from their little sweethearts for various reasons.

ߎȐPatiently taking care of little children 24*7 is no easy task. But we can try and with Allah’s help nothing is impossible. Don’t  stop making dua.

(I seek refuge with Allah from
the accursed Shaitaan) is the best dua to stop shaitaan from attacking you.

ߎȂbe what you want your child to be. They copy what they see.

ߎȍMost of us must have read the statement : “Excuse the mess, we are making memories”. Yes you are. Treasure the moments.

ߎȂBut also remember: Less mess less stress. To avoid mess create a play area for kids so that the toys stop finding other places to hide.

ߎȃChildren grow up so quickly and with each passing year they become more independent. The present phase of life is passing away so try to grab it in the most beautiful manner.

ߎȃChildren are children. Let them be. Tidying up is essential but don’t get obsessed to the extent that you restrict your children from being themselves.

ߎȗWhen you find it difficult to stay patient remind yourself of single mothers or a mother taking care of a disabled child. Our test of patience is nothing compared to theirs.

A final note:
… And the angels will enter upon them from every gate, [saying],
“Peace be upon you for what you patiently endured. And excellent is the final home.”
(Qur’an 13:23-24)

What more do we want?

I pray that you and I be able to make an effort to be more patient. آمين

It's easy to feel alone when times are really tough. You can't seem to share your sorrow. But know that no matter where you are, the Almighty knows.

During trials, we often find ourselves getting closer to the Almighty. So why do we distance ourselves from Him once He solves them for us?

When you feel alone because everyone has walked out on you & abandon you, know that the Almighty's always there. The Almighty will never forsake you.

Don't measure others by your own standards. You'll end up disillusioned, disappointed and frustrated. Remember each one of us is different.

When someone is prejudiced against you, they'll go all out to prove they're right. Don't bother trying to change that. Just be yourself!

There's no need to pretend you're better than others & that you have to win everything. The Almighty knows our weakness. Be honest with Him.

a simple dua

Al-'Abbās, the uncle of the Prophet , came to the Prophet and said,
“Ya Rasūlullāh, teach me a du'ā'.” .
The Prophet said:
“O my uncle, say:

Allāhumma inni asaluka al-'āfiyah
(O Allāh, I ask you for 'āfiyah).”

What is 'āfiyah?
'Āfiyah means “to save me from any afflictions.
To be healthy, you are in 'āfiyah.
To have enough money
To live, you are in 'āfiyah.
To have your children protected,
you are in 'āfiyah.
And if you are forgiven and not punished, you are in 'āfiyah.
'Āfiyah means
“O Allāh, protect me from any pain and suffering.”
This includes dunya and ākhirah.

Al-'Abbās thought about this for a while, and then he came back after a few days and said (paraphrased):
“Ya Rasūlullāh, this du'ā' seems a little short. I want something big.”
The Prophet said, “My dear uncle, ask Allāh for 'āfiyah for wallāhi, you cannot be given anything better than 'āfiyah.”
It is a simple du'ā'.
Sincerely mean what you say.
“O Allāh, I ask You to be saved from any distress, grief, hardship, harm. Don't test me.”
All of this is included in
“Allāhumma inni asaluka al-'āfiyah”

Release is forgiveness

I was walking with a bag load of shopping and feeling my fingers and arms ache! I had forgotten that I had the option of putting them down for a while, to let go of the pain! Renergise and smile! Similarly if we carry our hurts with us for long we have given that emotion or person power to snatch away our happiness! Release is forgiveness which is an act of self-love to put back the lost smile on your face!

story of the artist

The Artist

Once upon a time, a well-known painter was finishing his painting. It’s an incredibly beautiful painting to be shown at the Airport during the upcoming Hajj Season.

The painter wanted this painting to be a master piece. He worked on it for weeks on the top of a 24 story building. He was consumed by and excited with his own painting that he unconsciously took a few step backward while admiring the 2 x 8 meter painting. He didn’t look back when he walked backward. He kept on walking backward until it was a step away from the edge of the 24 story building. Just one more step backward and he could have fallen to his death.

A man saw what the painter was doing and was about to shout at him to warn him when he realized that his shout might surprise the painter and thus make him take that fatal one step backward and fall down. So the man took a brush and some paint and began to paint on the beautiful painting until it was completely damaged.

Upon realizing what happened to his painting, the painter got very angry and moved forward to hit the man. However, some other people who were also present at the vicinity held him and showed him his last position which almost made him fall.

MORAL: Sometimes we have painted our future with such beauty and dreamed of beautiful days we will spend with our loved one, but then Allah seemed to destroy our beautiful painting when Allah sees what danger lies ahead of us. Sometimes we are angry and annoyed by what Allah has done to us, but one thing we have to keep in our mind is that our Creator Allah is Most Wise an always keeps our best of interest in mind!

So when Allaah Subhaanahu wa Ta’ala , in His Infinite Wisdom, tests us with a situation that we think is difficult or takes away something that in our mind was good for us, we need to remember that perhaps it may not be so. Perhaps if we had continued in our way, it might have been harmful for us and whatever Allah decreed for us is actually better for us, for He is All-Wise and All-Knowing.

Allah says: “and it may be that you dislike a thing which is good for you and that you like a thing which is bad for you. Allah knows but you do not know.” (Qur’an Surah Baqarah 2:216)

Keep in mind that some things will never make sense, no matter how hard you try to figure it out. Let go, breathe deeply & leave it to Him.

He knows your problems more than you do. He knows what's best for you. So put your trust in Him, the All-Wise. He will take care of you.

When you're losing hope and on the brink of giving up, praise your Maker. Endure the test so He'll raise you. Nothing can bring you down.

Do you lose hope because you think you've done too much wrong and the Almighty won't help? Do you remember He's the Most Merciful? Call out to Him now.

Do you at times wish you could just press the delete key and start over with your life? Well you can. That's what repentance is all about.

It's not healthy to keep dwelling on your past sins. Don't keep reminding yourself of how often you've messed up. Repent and look ahead.

Mufthi Menk

Don't hold resentment towards others in your heart. It's an emotional toxin that'll eat you slowly but surely. Forgiveness will wipe it out!

Remember it's your character that makes you worth it; not your appearance. After all, if a rose didn't smell as good, it would be worthless!

If you want to be truly wealthy, keep your heart in a good state. Get rid of the bad feelings in there & fear the Almighty's displeasure.

Tafseer.. Surah Yusuf - Verse 9-10

Surah Yusuf, Verses 9-10:

{"Kill Yusuf or cast him out to some (other) land, so that the favor of your father may be given to you alone, and after that you will be righteous people.'') (10. One from among them said: "Kill not Yusuf, but if you must do something, throw him down to the bottom of a well; he will be picked up by some caravan of travelers; if you must do something’'}

Yusuf’s brothers wanted to either kill Yusuf or banish him to a distant land to get rid of him.

{and after that you will be righteous people}, they intended repentance before committing the sin.

{One from among them said…} The eldest among them said, do not let your enmity and hatred towards him reach this level of murder, rather throw him down to the bottom of a well. Their plot to kill Yusuf would not have succeeded, because Allah willed that Yusuf fulfill a mission. He would receive Allah's revelation and become His Prophet. Allah willed Yusuf to be a powerful man in Egypt and govern it.
{he will be picked up by some caravan of travelers} passing by. This way, he said, you will rid yourselves of this bother without having to kill him,

{if you must do something,} meaning, if you still insist on getting rid of him.

Tafseer... Surah Yusuf - Verse 7-8

Surah Yusuf, Verse 7-8:

{7. Verily, in Yusuf and his brothers  there were signs for those who ask.) (8. When they said: "Truly, Yusuf and his brother are dearer to our father than we, while we are a clan. Indeed, our father is in plain error.''}

Allah says that there are lessons and wisdom to learn from the story of Yusuf and his brothers, for those who ask about their story and seek its knowledge. Surely, their story is unique and is worthy of being narrated..

{When they said: "Truly, Yusuf and his brother are dearer to our father than we...''}  They swore, according to their false thoughts, that Yusuf and his full brother Binyamin were dearer to their  father than them while they were a clan. They thought, how can he love these two more than the clan or group?

{Indeed, our father is in plain error.} because he preferred them and loved them more than us.

Tafseer - Surah Yusuf - Verse 6

Surah Yusuf, Verse 6:

{“And thus will your Lord choose you and teach you the interpretation of dreams and complete His favor on you and on the offspring of Ya`qub, as He completed it on your fathers, Ibrahim and Ishaq previously! Verily, your Lord is All-Knowing, All-Wise.’'}

Ya`qub says to his son Yusuf, `Just as Allah chose you to see the eleven stars, the sun and the moon prostrate before you in a vision, thus will your Lord choose you to be a Prophet from Him, and teach you the interpretation of dreams.

{and complete His favor on you} by His Message and revelation to you.
{Verily, your Lord is All-Knowing, All-Wise.} Allah knows best whom to choose for His Messages.

Tafseer... Surah Yusuf - Verse 5

Surah Yusuf, Verse 5:

{He said, "O my son, do not relate your vision to your brothers or they will contrive against you a plan. Indeed Shaytaan, to man, is a clear enemy.}

The vision which Yusuf saw indicated that his brothers would be under his authority. They would be subjugated to such an extent that they would prostrate before him in respect, honor and appreciation. Ya`qub feared that if Yusuf narrated his vision to any of his brothers, they would envy him and conspire evil plots against him.

Tafseer.. Surah Yusuf - Verse 4

Surah Yusuf, Verse 4:

{(Remember) when Yusuf said to his father: "O my father! Verily, I saw (in a dream) eleven stars and the sun and the moon - I saw them prostrating to me.’'}

Allah says, `Mention to your people, O Muhammad, the story of Yusuf.' Prophet Yusuf mentioned his dream to his father, Prophet Ya`qub, son of Prophet Ishaq, son of Prophet Ibrahim, peace be upon them all. `Abdullah bin `Abbas stated that the dreams of Prophets are revelations from Allah.

Scholars of Tafsir explained that in Yusuf's dream the eleven stars represent his brothers, who were eleven, and the sun and the moon represent his father and mother.  Yusuf's vision became a reality forty years later, or as some say, eighty years.

Tafseer... Surah Yusuf - Verse 3

Surah Yusuf, Verse 3:

{We relate to you the best of stories through Our revelations to you, of this Qur'an. And before this, you were among those who knew nothing about it.}

`Abdullah bin `Abbas said, "They said, `O, Allah's Messenger! Why not narrate to us stories' Later on, the above verse was revealed.

There is a Hadith that is relevant upon mentioning this honorable verse, which praises the Qur'an and demonstrates that it is sufficient from needing any books besides it. Imam Ahmad recorded that `Umar bin Al-Khattab came to the Prophet with a book that he took from some of the People of the Book. `Umar began reading it to the Prophet(saw) who became angry. He said,
"Are you uncertain about it Ibn Al-Khattab? By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! I have come to you with it white and pure. Do not ask them about anything, for they might tell you something true and you reject it, or they might tell you something false and you believe it. By the One in Whose Hand is my soul! If Musa were living, he would have no choice but to follow me."

Tafseer.. Surah Yusuf, Verse 1-2

Surah Yusuf, Verse 1-2:

{Alif, Lam, Ra. These are the verses of the clear Book. Indeed, We have sent it down as an Arabic Qur'an that you might understand.}

The Arabic language is most eloquent, deep and expressive of the meanings that might arise in one's mind. Therefore, the most honorable Book, was revealed in the most honorable language, to the most honorable Prophet and Messenger, delivered by the most honorable angel, in the most honorable land on earth, and its revelation started during the most honorable month of the year, Ramadan. Therefore, the Qur'an is perfect in every respect.

Your heart's your best mirror. It's where your faith lies. Check it often to keep it pure. All you need is to look deeply into that mirror.

Even if you can't do big acts of charity, just spread kindness. That way you'll be able to touch the innermost depths of someone's heart.

Blessed is the one who's able to sleep soundly at night because he no longer carries envy, hatred, malice and jealousy in his heart.

Some people come as a great blessing for us. Life would not be the same without them. A gift from the Almighty. Appreciate these rare gems.

Recognise those who cause you pain and make you feel small. They usually disregard your feelings & treat you in a harmful way. Let them go.

You'll never know who your friends are till you fall & hit rock bottom. Be the one who'll pick others up & offer help in their darkest days.

This world is such that people will continue to hurt you. The Almighty's the only One who can heal you. Confide in Him, the Best Listener.

Have you realised that when you always complain about things, the Almighty sends more things for you to complain about? Be thankful instead!

Don't get into the habit of complaining to everyone about your problem. Most don't care anyway. Talk to the Almighty who has full control. We often think we need much before we can be happy. Truth is, happiness is what you feel.

Make someone's day and see how blissful you can be. Almighty. Forgive me for always asking You more than I thanked You. It's easy to forget in this hectic world. Help me appreciate all I have.

something to think about

A match is 90 minutes
A tv series is 60 minutes
A movie is 180 minutes

Salat is 5 minutes

Jahannam forever

Jannat forever

Be smart to contemplate:

300 friends on whatsapp.

80 on the phone

50 friends in the neighbourhood.

In times of need 1 Friend

Funeral, family only

 In the grave, alone

don't be surprised this is life.

Verily only your salat will benefit you.

If you find dust on your Mushaf.

Weep for yourself

For whoever stopped reading Qur'an

For 3 days
-
Is called quitter

NB: You are not forced to share.

But as Allah SWT says:
Remind, for reminder benefits the believers

Strange world:
Janazah after janazah as storms. Death after death

So and so died in car crash. Others from disease

Others walking and fell dead

All of them left life behind

And we buried them

Surely my day and your day will come.

You who delay tawbah for you are young.

Sorry it's not written on the graveyard FOR THE OLD ONLY

Life is only 3 days long:

Yesterday - Lived and never comes back

Today - We live and wont last

Tomorrow - we don't know where we will be.

So greet. Forgive and be charitable

For me, you and them will all leave...

Oh Allah we ask you a good ending. Grant us jannah. Protect us from jahannam. Ameen

Brother/sister, if you grow up doing something you will die doing it and if you die doing something you will be resurrected doing it.

If you read this post and you gained, it's reward... and if you share it, you spread it benefits.

Interesting stuff:

Streets - Busy

Market - Busy

Bank - Busy

University - Busy

Cafe - Busy

Restaurant - Busy

Stadium - Busy

Masajid -Empty

My advice is ensure you read the Quran everyday even if it's a verse may Allah reward us abundantly Ameen.

Allah sees you sharing it.

Oh Allah whoever sends out bestow on him your bounties from where he doesn't expect and doesn't know. Ameen!

4x250ml Cake Flour
10ml fennel seeds or whole aniseeds
1 packet instant dry yeast

- Preheat oven to 180°C and prepare a round cake tin.
- Cream oil, sugar, butter/margarine and salt well.
- Add egg and milk. Mix well. In a separate bowl, sift together
flour. Add fennel seeds or aniseeds. Sprinkle with yeast and mix through.
- Add liquid mixture to flour, mix into a soft dough.
- Knead for 15-20 mins, until dough is smooth and elastic.
- Leave dough in a large bowl to double in volume.
- Divide mixture into 2. Shape each half into a sausage and cut into
equal sized pieces.

is obtained. Repeat this technique with the rest of the dough.
- On completing the shaping of the rolls, place each roll next to one another in a prepared
round tin. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle with seeds. Leave to double in size.
- Bake for 20 mins or until cooked through. Remove from oven, allow to rest for 5 mins
and decant from cake tin.
- Makes 12 - 15 rolls

Mufthi Menk

Wouldn't life be a lot better if we made full use of our similarities rather than argue over our differences?

Tolerate and respect each other! Learn to be less argumentative. Instead of arguing, remain silent. There's wisdom in praying for someone who makes it difficult for you.

Stop putting people down. Build them up instead. Remind them of their worth. Keep positive & learn to see the beauty in people & things.

Hadith... Salaate Tasbeeh

Rasulullah ﷺ is narrated to have said to his uncle Hazrat ‘Abbas (R.A):

O Abbas! O my uncle! Shall I not give you a gift? Shall I not show you something by means of which Allah will forgive your sins, the first and the last of them, the past and recent, the unintentional and the intentional, the small and huge, the secret and open? The Holy Prophet ﷺ then taught him the Salah al-Tasbih. Furthermore he advised him that it be offered daily, if possible. If not, then every Friday or once a month or once a year or at least once in one’s life time. (Abu Dawood)

- See more at: http://www.qurantutor.com/blog/salatul-tasbih-method/#sthash.wPLBrbnp.dpuf

Salaate Tasbeeh

Salatul Tasbih
For forgiveness of All Sins

Benefits of Salat-Ul-Tasbih
Our Beloved Prophet Mohammed (Sallallaho Alihiwassallam) said to his uncle (father’s brother) Sayyiduna Abbass (may Allah be pleased with him) Oh uncle shall I not give you Shall I not grant you Shall I not award you Shall I not do mercy on you When you do 10 things Allah will forgive your sins: of the future and of the past; new and old; those you have forgotten and those you did knowingly; big and small; hidden and revealed. Then he (Sallallaho Alihiwassallam) explained the taught the way to pray Salatul Tasbih and then said if you can pray this salah once a day, if you can not pray once a day then every Friday, and even if this is not possible then once a month and even if this is not possible then once a year and even if this is not possible then at least once in a lifetime (Abu’Dawood & Tirimzi)

How to perform Salatul Tasbih?
This salaat (namaz) is offered in four rakat at a time and can be read in any part of the day and night besides Zawal and Sunrise and Sunset makrooh times, keeping in mind the forbidden times for performing Salat (namaaz). But is is preferred before Zuhr (Fatawa Alamgeeri)

The Tasbih to be read in Salaat-Ul-Tasbeeh:
" Subhaan Allahi Wal Hamdulillahi Wa Laa ilaha illal Laahu Wallahu Akbar "

Method:
Goal is to recite above Tasbih 300 times in Four Rakah with the following method.
In the first rakaat, after reading Sana "Subhaana Kallahumma...", read the above tasbih 15 times.
Now recite Aaoz "Aoozubillah...", Bismillah "Bismillah...", Then read sura Fatiha and a Surah or minimum of three small Ayayhs then read the tasbih 10 times again.
Go to ruku saying Takbeer (Allah Hoo Akbar), after reciting "Subhaana Rabbiyal Azeem" minimum of three times read the tasbih 10 times in Ruku.
Saying "Samee Allahu Liman Hamidah Rabbana Lakal Hamdh" get up from ruku to qiyam position.
Now read the tasbih 10 times.
Go to Sajdah saying Takbeer (Allah Hoo Akbar) and after reciting "Subhaana Rabbiyal A'la" minimum of three times read the tasbih 10 times in Sajdah.
Now go after first Sajdah go to Jalsa (sitting position) saying Takbeer (Allah Hoo Akbar). Sitting in Jalsa read tasbih 10 times.
Go to sajda again saying Takbeer (Allah Hoo Akbar) and after reciting "Subhaana Rabbiyal A'la" minimum of three times read the tasbih 10 times in Sajdah again.
Get up to begin 2nd rakat saying Takbeer (Allah Hoo Akbar).
Do rakah #2 in same fashion, but before reading Bismillah "Bismillah...", and Surah Fatiha, read the tasbih 15 times. Follow the rest as you did in first Rakat.
After second Sajdah of Second Rakat sit in Qaidah Oola (first sitting) read Attahiyat, Durood and Dua then get up for 3rd rakaat without saying Salam.
Begin third Rakat, just like the first Rakat, with Sana "Subhaana Kallahumma...", read the above tasbih 15 times. Follow the rest as you did in first Rakat untill you sit for Qaidah Akihra (last sitting) after second sajdah of fourth Rakah.
In Qaidah Akihra Attahiyat, Durood, Dua finish Salah with Salam.

Special notes for Salat-Ul-Tasbih:
1) Do not count loudly. It will break Salah
2) Do not count on fingers or by holding a Bead Tasbih in hand. It is Makruh.
3) You may count by pressing the fingers as a reminder. For example if you are in Ruku. You me press pinky of your right hand first for the first count, then the finger next to it for second count, then the middle finger for third count, following this method untill you reach the pinky of left hand will give you an exact count of ten. Use the same method in Qayam, Sajdah and Jalsa.
4) If missed a count then make it up in the next posture. For example if forgot to recite Tasbih after Surah in Qayam. Then you may recite Tasbish 20 times instead of 10 in Rukuh after "Subhaana Rabbiyal Azeem". Missed Tasbih cannot be recited in Qayam after ruku and Jalsa between Sajdah. If you missed the Tasbih in Ruku then recite 20 in the first Sajdah instead of the Qayam after rukuh. Similarly if missed the Tasbih in first Sajdah then do not make it up in Jalsa. Instead recite missed tasbih in the second Sajdah. If Tasbih has been missed in last sajdah of second or fourth Rakah then you can recite the missed ones before Attahiyat in Qaidah.
5) If you miss a wajib in Salah and have to do Sajdah Sahaw. You dont have to recite Tasbih in Sajdah sahoo, since the 300 count has been estalished. But if you had missed Tasbih in any of the postures and remeber it now. Then you may recite the missed Tasbih in Sajdah Sahaw now.
6) It is preferable to recite after Surah Fatiha Sura Takathuur in the first raka’, Surah Wal A’sr in the second raka’, Surah Kaferoon (qul ya aiyuhal Kafiroon) in the third and Surah Akhlas (Qul hu Allah-hu ahd) in the fourth raka’. If one does not remember these surah they can recite the ones they prefer.

May Allah accept this dua’ (supplication) for the sake of the trustworthy PROPHET MOHAMMED (Allah’s Grace & Peace be upon him)

Treating the eyes with Kohl

Allah's mercy

❤ This touched
               my heart ♥ :

• Never underestimate
Allahs mercy and power:

A young man' mother was hospitalized.
She was put in intensive care.
A few days later, the doctors told him the truth.
Her condition was hopeless, she could expire at any moment.
He left from the hospital distraught about his mother
On his way, returning to visit his mother
He stopped at a gas station
As he was waiting for the attendant to fill up his tank
He noticed that a cat had a new litter under a cardboard box
They could barely walk
He pondered!!!!
Who would feed them under these circumstances, and went in to the store
He bought tuna,

Hadith

Riyad as-Salihin, The Book of Virtues
Book 9, Hadith 1036
Narrated 'Abu Hurairah (ra):
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "When Adhan for Salat is pronounced, the devil takes to his heels and breaks wind with noise so as not to hear the call. When the Adhan is finished, he returns. When the Iqamah is announced, he turns his back, and after it is finished, he returns again to distract the attention of one and makes him remember things which he does not recall in his mind before the Salat, and says 'Remember this, and this,' and thus causes one to forget how many Rak'at he performed."[Al-Bukhari and Muslim].

Du'aa for fulfilling Shukr

Du’aa for Fulfilling the Shukr for the Day

Allahumma maa ‘asbaha bee min ni’matin, ‘aw bi’ahadin min khalqik faminka wahdak laa shareekalak

Whoever recites this in the morning, has completed his obligation to thank Allah for that day; and whoever says it in the evening, has completed his obligation for that night.

Note : In the evening, you should say: Allaahumma maa ‘amsaa bee..: “O Allah, as I…enter this evening…”

Hadith

Riyad as-Salihin, The Book of Knowledge
Book 13, Hadith 1388
Narrated 'Abud-Darda (ra):
The Messenger of Allah (pbuh) said, "He who follows a path in quest of knowledge, Allah will make the path of Jannah easy to him. The angels lower their wings over the seeker of knowledge, being pleased with what he does. The inhabitants of the heavens and the earth and even the fish in the depth of the oceans seek forgiveness for him. The superiority of the learned man over the devout worshipper is like that of the full moon to the rest of the stars (i.e., in brightness). The learned are the heirs of the Prophets who bequeath neither dinar nor dirham but only that of knowledge; and he who acquires it, has in fact acquired an abundant portion."[Abu Dawud and At- Tirmidhi].

If you resort to unfair means to bring someone down, you've reached a really low point in life. It's sad and you'll end up feeling worse.

Don't let the world harden you nor hate the pain you face. Don't let bitterness steal the goodness in your character. Stay above it all.

Find it in your heart to fully forgive the one who's wronged you. It's difficult but the rewards are great and given by the Almighty Himself!

Why do some feel the need to gossip? Can't they just talk about themselves without bringing others down? Let's discuss virtues instead!

Stop putting people down. Build them up instead. Remind them of their worth. Keep positive & learn to see the beauty in people & things.

Be wary of a suspicious mind. It's evil and never at rest; always assuming ill intent in people's actions. Hold on to your faith in humanity.

at the window..

ALLAH SUBHANA TA'ALA IS AT THE WINDOW.

There was a little boy visiting his grandparents on their farm.

He was given a slingshot to play with out in the woods.

But however hard he practised, he could never hit the target.

Getting a little discouraged, he headed back for dinner...

As he was walking back he saw Grandma's pet duck.

Just out of impulse, he let the slingshot fly, hit the duck square in the head & killed it. He was shocked & grieved!

In a panic, he hid the dead duck in the wood pile; only to see his
sister ,Zahra watching! She had seen it all, but said nothing.

After lunch the next day Grandma said, 'Zahra, let's wash the dishes'

But Zahra said, 'Grandma, Umar told me he wanted to help in the kitchen.'

Then she whispered to him, "Remember the duck?'

So Umar did the dishes.

Later that day, Grandpa asked if the children wanted to go fishing & Grandma said, 'I'm sorry but I need Zahra to help make supper.'

Zahra just smiled & said, 'well that's all right because Umar told me he wanted to help?

She whispered again, 'Remember the duck?' So Zahra went fishing & Umar stayed to help.

After several days of Umar doing both his chores & Zahra's; he finally couldn't stand it any longer.

He came to Grandma & confessed that he had killed the duck.

Grandma knelt down, gave him a hug & said, 'Sweetheart, I know. U see, I was standing at the window & I saw the whole thing, but because I love u, I forgave u.
I was just wondering how long u would let Zahra make a slave of u.'

Whatever is in ur past, whatever u have done...?
(lying, cheating, stealing, fear, bad habits, hatred, anger, bitterness, etc...)...whatever it is..
Aиϑ Shaytaan keeps throwing it on ur face & whispering there's no hope for u...
U need to know that:

Allah Subhana Ta'ala saw the whole thing.

He has seen ur whole life...He has been with u tђε entire time ... He ȋ̊s tђε Ever Merciful, Most Loving & Kind. Αs long αs u repent sincerely, He Forgives & Forgets.

Mufthi Menk

If your day is not going as well as you've planned, remember that He has helped you through worse days. He knows what He's doing! Stay put.

You may have planned everything to the last detail but it falls apart. Don't fret. He knows best. Looking back, you'll be thankful for it! Do your utmost & leave the rest to the Almighty.

When we don't get what we want or feel let down by others, know that the Almighty has better things planned.

The only way to keep sane in this crazy world is to keep going. Believe that the Almighty's plans are the best for us and they'll all make sense someday.

Hadith

Reported by Abu Umamah Al-Bahili
Prophet (صلي الله عليه وسلم) said:
"I guarantee a house in paradise for one who gives up arguing, even if he is right;
I guarantee a home in the middle of paradise for one who abandons lying even for the sake of fun;
I guarantee a house in the highest part of paradise for one who has good manners!''
[Abu Dawud]

Count your blessings always! For each of us who's dissatisfied with our lives, there are thousands of others dreaming of living our lives.

Keep things minimal. Learn to declutter your life as you go along. You won't be taking all this stuff with you. Live simply.

Sleep soundly! Nothing is certain in this life except our return to our Maker. Not many want to think about this. Wise is he who prepares for that day.

 By Mufti Ismail Menk

Hadith

Faqeeh Abul Laith Samarqandi رحمه الله writes in Tambeehul Ghāfileen that Allah Ta'ala once sent the following revelation to a Nabi عليه السلام: "O child of Ādam! You purchase Jahannum for an exorbitant price but fail to purchase Jannah for a small sum."
People consider spending exorbitant sums upon the prompting of some sinners, thereby purchasing Jahannum for themselves. However, they find it difficult to spend a small sum upon the request of a poor beggar, whereas this is the price for Jannah.
Let us examine our lives and our preferences. Our Beloved Master Sayyidina Rasoolullah صلي الله عليه وسلم has advised that a wedding with the least expenses will earn the most amount of blessings. Sadly, we choose to openly violate the Shariah by involving ourselves in futile and wasteful activities having no link to the simplicity advocated by Sayyidina Rasoolullah
Faqeeh Abul Laith Samarqandi رحمه الله shares three perspectives which will certainly guide us;
1. Look at the rewards to be attained in the Hereafter. It is foolish to be inclined towards the things of the world and rely on them despite possessing proper knowledge.
2. Helplessness is not to make an effort for actions despite possessing the knowledge of their rewards in the Hereafter.
3. That person will attain the comforts of Jannah who forsakes the comforts of this world. That person will be wealthy in Jannah who forsakes this perishable world and is content with just a little.
May Allah Ta'ala incline us towards obedience and simplicity.
