broken hearts

"When ur heart has broken, remember: the Qur'an is for the broken hearted.

When the tears of Nuh (alayhis salaam)'s heart must have matched the rain pouring from the sky..........................
when the heart of Musa (alayhis salaam)'s mother almost broke as she parted with her infant son................. when Adam & Hawa (alayhimus salaam)'s shame engulfed them at their mistake,............................................. when Ayyub (alayhis salaam)'s physical pain must have matched the emotional turmoil of losing his family-
they found solace in the One Who never disappoints, in The All Wise, The Ever-Knowing.

U may be in pain. But remember: So were they. The Qur'an is filled with narratives of experiences that could break a heart into a million pieces. But through every test, the Prophets & righteous (alayhim asalam) were not shattered- they found strength, solace & the glue to keep their hearts together with Allah.

The Qur'an is for the broken hearted. The Qur'an is for *u*. Allah will never leave u, nor will He ever disappoint u- even if it takes time to understand His wisdom."

"Your Lord has neither forsaken you
    nor hated you.
Aиϑ indeed the Hereafter is better
    for you than the present.
Aиϑ verily, your Lord will give you
so that you shall be well-pleased" (Qur'an, 93:3-5).

            Depression.                                                                           --̶̯͡♈̷̴♥̸̸̸̨̨̨͡✽-̶̯͡♈̷̴

Sayyiduna Anas bin Maalik (radiyallahu’anhu) reports that it was the noble practice of our beloved Rasulullah (sallallahu ‘Alaihi wasallam) after every Fardh Salah to place his right hand on his forehead (& in some narrations: on his head) & recite the following supplication:

بِسْمِ اللهِ الذِيْ لا إلٰهَ إِلا هُوَ الرحْمٰنُ الرحِيم ، اللهُم أَذْهِبْ عَني الْهَم وَالحُزْن

   Bismillahillazhy laa ilaaha illa

Translation:  In the name of Allah, besides whom there is none worthy of worship, The most Gracious, The most Merciful.
O Allah ! remove from me worry &  depression.
(Al-Tabarani)

Another beneficial du’a for depression is: abundant recital of:

لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِالله

    La hawla wala quwwata

Slow Dance

Slow Dance
This is a poem written by a teenager with cancer.
She wants to see how many
people get her poem.

It is quite a poem, please pass it on.
This poem was written by a terminally ill young girl in a
New York Hospital.
It was sent by a medical doctor Make sure to read what is in the closing statement AFTER THE POEM.

SLOW DANCE
Have you ever watched kids on a merry-go-round?
Or listened to the rain slapping on the ground?
Ever followed a butterfly's erratic flight?
Or gazed at the sun into the fading night?

You better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last.

Do you run through each day on the fly?
When you ask, “How are you?”
Do you hear the reply?

When the day is done, do you lie in your bed,
with the next hundred chores running through your head?

You'd better slow down
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short
The music won't last.

Ever told your child,
We'll do it tomorrow?
And in your haste,
Not see his sorrow?

Ever lost touch, let a good friendship die
Cause you never had time
To call and say,'Hi'

You'd better slow down.
Don't dance so fast.
Time is short.
The music won't last..

When you run so fast to get somewhere,
You miss half the fun of getting there.

When you worry and hurry through your day,
It is like an unopened gift....
Thrown away.

Life is not a race.
Do take it slower
Hear the music
Before the song is over.

Difficulty in Life

This is a message for anyone who is going through some difficulty in their life, be it in their marriage, at work, in Deen or anything else...

Know that this life is not a place of absolute happiness or joy. There are highs & lows but  اللَّهُ Subhana Ta'ala  will never Test you with more than you can handle. In His wisdom & justice He tries people according to their levels so know that your trial is according to your level.

Also know that the brightness of day follows the darkness of night. So in your moment of darkness have glad tidings of the light which will follow & bear patiently whatever comes your way.

Some days it will seem like your back is against the wall & you can't go on, but don't you see how the bird flies for miles until it eventually reaches it's food? The towering tree doesn't grow tall overnight - it sends its roots far & wide & then begins the slow, painful climb skywards. Likewise, your rise to the heights of jannah won't be easy but keep going until you reach your goal.

Yes, the road is long. Yes, the nights are dark & lonely but know that whoever has  اللَّهُ Subhana Ta'ala ,then he has the ultimate protector & to  اللَّهُ Subhana Ta'ala Belong the treasures of the heavens & the earth - He gives them to whoever He wills.

So I advise my own soul & then yours - keep your eye on the goal & keep moving towards it. The seas of life will get rocky & there will be storms, but in the morning perhaps there will be perfect stillness with no waves at all?

With hardship comes ease, with trials come rewards & with patience comes Jannah

Heroes!

“In the end, it won’t be how you walked in the sun–but how you handled’ the storm–that will determine your success. How you managed the darkness inside and ouside yourself. It won’t be about how you ran. It’ll be about how you fell, and then got back up. It won’t be about your wins. It will be about how you took defeat. Not about how you performed when strong, but how you did while bound and broken. It won’t be about your ability to walk. It will be about your willingness to crawl–even when you’re hopeless. Not about what you did when you won. But who you were after you lost. Again. Because character isn’t made on shore. Character is born in the waves. The crushing kind. The kind that tell you to give up because what’s the point of trying and failing again. The kind that tell you the ocean’s too mighty for you, and you don’t stand a chance.
You see, heroes aren’t known by their trophies.
They’re known by their scars.”

Sabr

ߌ蠪ﺻﺒﺮ*
*Sabr* is suppressing that angry voice in your head,

the one that wants to yell at people for being inconsiderate to your struggle.

*Sabr* is swallowing this voice, overcoming it, learning to channel it towards a heartfelt du'a instead.

*Sabr* is forgiving someone when they dismiss your feelings.

*Sabr* is meeting those who deserted you, with a smile on your lips, even though your tears are one step away from exposing you.

*Sabr* is staying silent because you’ve already stated your point too many times before.

*Sabr* is fulfilling the rights of others even when they transgress against yours.

*Sabr* is crying about your heartache in front of Allah and no one else.

*Sabr* is believing wholeheartedly that Allah has beautiful things in store for you.

*Sabr* is crawling forward even when you want to stop.

*Sabr* is an active state of being, it is not a theory to simply be discussed and forgotten.

And it is worth it. Every single second of it is so worth it because Allah loves the patient.

And it’s worth going through the worst of the worst if it means that it will gain you Allah’s love.

*A beautiful patience*

A pound of butter

✨A POUND OF BUTTER

✨There was a farmer who sold a pound of butter to the baker. One day the baker decided to weigh the butter to see if he was getting a pound & he found that he was not.

✨This angered him so he took the farmer to court. The judge asked the farmer if he was using any measure. The farmer replied, "Your Honor, I am primitive. I don't have a proper measure, but I do have a scale."
The judge asked, "Then how do you weigh the butter?"
The farmer replied "Your Honor, long before the baker started buying butter from me, I have been buying a pound loaf of bread from him. Every day when the baker brings the bread, I put it on the scale & give him the same weight in butter. If anyone is to be blamed, it is the baker."

✨Moral of the story....
We get back in life what we give to others. Whenever you take an action, ask yourself this question: Am I giving fair value for the wages or money I hope to make? Honesty &  dishonesty become a habit. Some people practice dishonesty & can lie with a straight face. Others lie so much that they don't even know what the truth is anymore. But the only people they are deceiving & fooling ultimately, are themselves.

✨The Prophet (sallallaahu alaihi wa sallam) said: “A truthful and honest trader will be a companion of the prophets, the righteous and the martyrs on the Day of Judgement.” [Tirmidhi]

✨Ya Allah, lift my heart, relieve my burdens, and make me of those who put their full trust in You for all of their affairs.

✨Ya Rabb, just like You turn day into night... Turn the darkness in every Muslim's life in to a radiant light."

My wife... I am sorry

He woke up in the morning and found her praying. He heard her praying for him.He stared at her. It has been a long time since he
has seen her praying. For the past few months, they have been arguing. Last night, they had a nasty fight. He went to the kitchen in a hurry to prepare himself breakfast.

These past days, she hasn't been cooking for him. Shock on him. He found breakfast already set at the table. He ate. He went back to the bedroom, to prepare for a shower. She left the shower. "Good morning. Have a blessed day" she said as she entered the bedroom and he left for the bathroom. After his shower, all dressed up for work; he found his wife at the kitchen, eating breakfast in peace. She was looking at some funny videos on her phone and giggling. He looked at her then walked out the door. The last look he had of her before he left was of her at peace.
That last look disturbed him. This is not how she should be. This is not how she has been. He has been hurting her, she has recently found out that he has been flirting with other women, he has cheated once and used money meant for their family on other women. She should be angry. Her peaceful demeanor disturbed him.

Evening came. He went home and met his peaceful wife again. She was cooking and laughing with their children. She had come from work two hours ago.The dinner was enjoyable. Good food, she having warm conversations with the children. He as the father felt left out. His wife and children seemed to be having fun despite him hurting them.
After dinner, as she washed the dishes and the children had gone to bed. He approached her.
"Are you OK?" he asked her.
"I am more than OK. I am blessed "She answered.
"Are you not mad at me? After all that I am doing and have done wrong?" he asked.

She placed the washed plate in the rack then looked at him and said, "I asked myself, what is the most important relationship in my
life? The one I have with you or the one with God? And I realized it is the one with God. I live for God, not for you. Marrying you was a blessing but it is not all there is in life. God has blessed me with life and I will not waste it crying because of the hurt you cause me to feel"
She picked up a dirty glass and began washing it. "I realized I had given you too much power... Yes, you are my husband, the closest human being in my life and the human being I love the most; but you are not God. You have failed me but God never fails me. I will not let you ruin my joy, my peace and my progress. You break our marriage if you want to, but I will hold on to God. And as I hold on to God, I will be full of joy despite what you do" She said rinsing the glass.

She looked at him and continued, "When you hurt me and disrespected me, I realized I was acting out like a woman who has no God. I got mad and hurled insults, I wanted to revenge and I allowed you to mess me day after day. My performance at work went down, I talked less to our children, I became bitter to the children, I felt sorry for myself, I developed ulcers. And then I realized, I have God, I shouldn't act like someone with no relationship with God. Why should I be hopeless yet God is with me? I had focused so much on you that I forgot about God. When you found me, I had God. We dated and got married and I let everything be about you because I wanted to make our marriage work. Our marriage became the idol I worship instead of the blessing I have in God. Our marriage is failing apart because of you but my relationship with God is still intact"

She scrubbed the pot.
"You have chosen to abandon our marriage but that doesn't mean my whole world has collapsed. I will still continue being a good mother to our children. They will never say the problems between mom and dad, made mom a monster. You do as you please with other women, I will raise our children."
She looked at him and told him, "Do I hate you? No, it will be a lie to say I hate you. You are the man I married, the one I vowed to, the one I love"
Tears fell down her cheeks. She wiped them. "I can't just cancel all the years we have been together. The Quran asks us to love our enemies. If I am able to love my enemies, surely I can still love you despite all you have done. I am angry and disappointed, but I have taken my power back. I live for God who has exceedingly blessed me, not for you and the pain you cause"

She wiped her wet hands, took the apron from her body and told him, "In my peace, I am planning on where the children and
I will move to. Since you have chosen to have an affair, you have shown clearly that you don't need us. So we will not make your life uncomfortable by forcing you to live with us. You need to be able to bring the woman you are cheating with to your own house. I am working on something. I came into this house in peace and I will leave in peace. You will not kill my smile and shine"

She walked to the bedroom. Minutes later. He followed her to the
bedroom. He found her peacefully asleep. He nudged her. He woke her up and said,
"Please don't go, don't move out. I will hurt you no more, I will cheat no more. I am not OK. I want the peace you have. I want to be the kind of husband you are as a wife."

Since that day, he has been a reformed man. No more affairs, no
more hurting her, no flirting with other women, or endless fights. She didn't move out. She and the children stayed. He submitted to God and learned how to be a good husband, Love is powerful enough to humble the most proud ....... I don't know what you are experiencing this morning but my prayer is ,may you enjoy over whatever you are going through and behold, God is going to rain everlasting peace and freedom upon your life...Aameen.

Kindly SHARE this to bless someone out there.

In this world of E-mails, E-ticket, E-paper, E-recharge, E-transfer and the latest E-Governance...

Never Forget "Emaan"
which  makes E-verything E-asy for E-veryone E-veryday.

"E" is the most Eminent letter of the English alphabet.
Men or Women don't exist without "E".
House or Home can't be made without "E".
Bread or Butter can't be found without "E".
"E" is the beginning of "existence" and the end of "trouble."
It's not at all in 'war'but twice in 'peace'

It's once in 'hell' but twice in 'heaven'.
"E"represented in 'Emotions'.
Hence all emotional relations like Father,Mother,Brother, Sister, wife & friends have 'E' in them.
E" also represents 'Effort' & 'Energy'
Hence to be 'Better' from good both "E" 's are added.

Without "E", we would have no love, life, wife, friends or hope.

& 'SEE', 'HEAR', 'SMELL', or 'TASTE' as 'EYE' 'EAR', 'NOSE' & 'TONGUE' are INCOMPLETE without "E".

Hence GO with "E" but without E-GO.

The Aakhirah

Rasulullaah (Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam) said, “On the Day of Qiyaamah, every wealthy and poor person will wish that they had been only that much of provisions in this world as were necessary to sustain them.”

Moulana's wedding dilemma

The friendly chit-chat abruptly halted
Traditions and values altered

Music welcomed her as she entered
And I cursed why I attended

I don’t know the difference between Bieber and Zain
But it’s music, simple and plain

Now I had to decide
To walk out and be accused of pride

Or remain seated as if there’s no harm
Yet on the mimbar I say music is haraam

If I leave the function, the host feels abused
If I remain, I am accused

Hypocrisy and double standards they’ll shout
Thus my sermons will have no more clout

I hope you understand my dilemma
And stop thinking that I need an enema

Yes we grace the occasion with recitations from the Qur’aan
But not in a manner that pleases Shaytaan

Just as haram wealth may not be given in charity
Qur’aanic recitation alongside music is also a blasphemy!

Hadith of the day

Narrated Nu`am Al-Mujmir: Once I went up the roof of the mosque, along with Abu Huraira. He perform ablution and said, "I heard the Prophet (peace be upon him) saying, "On the Day of Resurrection, my followers will be called "Al-Ghurr-ul- Muhajjalun" from the trace of ablution and whoever can increase the area of his radiance should do so (i.e. by performing ablution regularly).'

Hayaat and maut

*HAYAAT & MAUT*

_Every soul shall have taste of Death ( 29:57)_
_A reminder to my self . The time is the life of a person and it should be preserved and spent properly._

Therefore, a wise person is he who preserves his time and does not waste it in useless things and idle talk.

Rather, one should spend his time in good endeavours and in performing righteous deeds which should please اللَّه , the Exalted, and which should benefit people.

Hence, in every minute of our life, we may do something which will increase our status (in the Hereafter) and bring happiness to our nation.

Therefore, if we are keen to achieve glory and bring happiness to our people, we should not waste our time in resting and playing.

Indeed, in one minute, one may do much good and obtain a great reward.

One single minute could increase our acts of obedience, our understanding, our memorization (of the Quran), and our good deeds.
If we know how to spend one minute, it can be added to the book of our good deeds (on the Day of Judgement).

“Beware of every hour and how it passes, and only spend it in the best possible way, do not neglect yourself, but render it accustomed to the noblest and best of actions, and send to your grave that which will please you when you arrive to it.”
[Imam Ibn Al-Jawzee]

*[Reminder to myself first and foremost]*

Food for thought

✨FOOD FOR THOUGHT ߒ튊When you wake up from a deep sleep with no other reason but to worship اللّـه, then know that you have found the purpose of life.
Say الحمدللہ

✨Music may give you an illusion of happiness, but illusions do not solve problems. You may feel good for a second but the next moment you are back to reality. Back to depression. Back to anxiety, and thats because you listened to Shaytan and not to Ar-Rahman
Who Says: "Verily In the Remembrance Of اللّـه , do hearts find Rest." [ Al- Ra'd 13:28]

✨ Rasulullah (sallallahu alayhi wasallam) said:

Songs make hypocrisy grow in the heart just as water makes crops grow (Bayhaqi, Shu'ab Al-Iman)

✨ "Most certainly, people from my Ummah will consume liquor which they will describe with some other name. Over their heads will be playing musical instruments and singing girls. Allah will cause the earth to swallow them, and from among them He will transform into apes and pigs." (Ibn Maajah)

✨The punishment for music and singing is exceptionally severe. We should repent and change immediately  اِ نْ شَآ ءَ اللّه

And اللَّهُ knows best ✨

Purified heart

ߒݰߒݰߒݰߒ݊

"PURIFIED HEART"

"Youma laa yan fa’u maalu wa la banoon, illa man atallaha bi qalbin saleem"

"…that day wealth and children will be of no benefit (to a person) except the one who comes to اللهِ with a purified heart" (Qur’an-26:88-89)

However in saying that, we should not live under the misconception, as many people do, that a ‘clean heart’ absolves us of our obligations to الله Ta'ala like Salaah, Hijaab , Charity, Fasting etc.

We often hear women say, ‘I do not have to wear Hijaab because my Hijaab is in my heart! Look at so and so who wears the Hijaab but has a dirty heart!’

We also hear man say, ‘I don’t read my salaah five times a day but I do not do such and such things as Mr ‘So’ and ‘So’ is doing who stands in the first saff (row) in salaah, or wears Islamic dress etc. At least my heart is clean!’

We have to understand that these kinds of excuses cannot be used to justify our weaknesses and shortcomings and we have to remember that every person will be judged individually by اللّـه Ta'ala

YAA اللّـه
Wash All The Filth Away And Change My Dead Heart
Make Me Alive Again,Give Me a Fresh Start
So Change My Heart Please And Wash The Filth Away
Don’t Leave Me Drowning Here Alone And Astray

Cough remedy

Homemade Cough remedies!

Honey, onion and garlic syrup!
The mixture:
Combine a half-cup of honey and a half-cup of water! Add in one whole chopped onion and one chopped clove of garlic! Add a dash of sage, thyme or oregano and allow to steep overnight at room temperature! Strain and use the liquid as a cough syrup!

Why it works:
Honey, onion and garlic are all naturally antimicrobial! “Honey also acts as a demulcent, meaning it relaxes the cough reflex and soothes the throat!” Not cooking the mixture helps preserve the full antimicrobial properties of the onions and garlic, which lose some of their potency when heated! Finally, herbs like sage, thyme or oregano add even more antimicrobial benefits!

Tip:
If you can’t wait overnight for your syrup to steep, simmer the mixture for five to 10 minutes until the onions soften! Although you will lose some antimicrobial properties, you will get some relief before heading to bed!

Three talaqs

Husband jokingly giving the wife three talaaqs

Q: If a man says to his wife "I divorce you" three times as a joke and has no intention to divorce her and is unaware that simply uttering the words could lead to divorce. Is that counted as talaaq or is the nikkah valid. Also note that this occurred while the wife was in a state of purity, before menses, during which intercourse had taken place. Is this nikkah still valid? Is the talaaq valid? If yes is it counted as one or 3? This occurred between a couple that are very much involved and would be devastated by talaaq. motherhood

Often I look around my house and I see the mess, all made by others, my sleeping children and my husband, and I wonder how it is fair that it is me that has to pick it all up.

Sometimes I look in the kitchen and I see the dirty dishes, the half eaten food in bowls and on the floor, the meal I slaved to make whilst my toddler had a tantrum and clung to my legs, the meal I chose because it was nutritious and contained ingredients I had on hand that would otherwise go rotten that no one seemed to like or thanked me for, and I wonder why I bothered.

There are times I am woken early in the morning, much earlier than I'd like, by my children who need me to feed them now, need me to get up now, whilst my husband sleeps for another long, undisturbed hour before getting up and dashing to work, clothes left on the floor and dishes on the table, and I long to go back to bed and ignore everything and everyone.

There are days my husband takes our kids out to give me a day off, my hero, so I do no cleaning, no cooking, no laundry and I have a day just for myself!!!!.... and the next day I pay the price and do triple time on all household choses and childcare to make up for the missed day and the extra mess left behind untouched and I question whether the day off was really worth it.

There are weeks when every little thing seems to tick me off... whining, tantrums, children not doing as they're told, extra messes and missing shoes and snappy words and eventually I reach a point where I can handle no more and I lose it.... at someone.... and someone points out to me that it was only a small thing why am I overreacting like that? And I can find no words to explain how minutes upon hours upon days upon weeks upon months upon years I have been doing all of this, caring for all of these people, people who often don't appreciate anything I do, who don't pay me to do it, who don't give me awards for doing it well, often at the expense of my own wellbeing - this has all taken its toll on me and sometimes I am unable to keep it together, sometimes I want to collapse and do collapse, this small thing is the straw that broke this mother's back......

Ya Allah, make all that we do as mothers done for Your sake and Your sake alone, for You are the one we need to please most, ameen.

Ya Allah, remind us of this when we face piles of mess, toys, food, clothes and bodily fluids to clean, remind us that we are caring for our families to please You and You alone and help us to do it with joy, ameen.

Ya Allah, when we are sleep deprived remind us of the day when there will be no rest and no sleep, and let us strive to make that day easy upon our souls, ameen.

Ya Allah, remind us when no one appreciates all that we do that extra rewards will be waiting for us in the Hereafter, and let us feel comforted by this fact, ameen.

Ya Allah, grant us patience and emotional strength when dealing with others, particularly our families and those closest to us, even during our most fragile times, remind us that it is all for You and if we can hold our tongues and walk away there will be much reward, ameen.

Ya Allah, make us of those who say good or stay silent, ameen.

Ya Allah, place around us other sisters who can help us through the tough times, who understand and sympathise with all that we go through as wives and mothers, who will bring us closer to You and who will help us in this life and in the next, ameen.

Ya Allah, make our children be of good character, make them righteous and pious and make them ones who will be good to their parents and stay close to their parents throughout their lives, ameen.

Ya Allah, make our husbands patient with us, help them to understand all that we go through, to appreciate what we do and to show it, and grant us a beneficial relationship filled with love and mercy, ameen.

Ya Allah, make us the best of wives and mothers for our families, let us be good examples for our children of pleasing You and of having good character, ameen.

Ya Allah, help us to refrain from whining, nagging, yelling and complaining
, help us to have constructive conversations around topics that upset us, ameen.

Ya Allah, forgive us for all that we do that displeases You, for You are the forgiver and You love to forgive, ameen.

Ya Allah, grant us jannah al firdaus on the basis of all that we do for our families, ameen.

Close the doors and mention the *Name of ﷲ͜عَزَّوَجَــــل, for the devil does not open a closed door; and tighten the (mouths of)* water skins and mention the *name of ﷲ͜عَزَّوَجَــــل* and cover your utensils and mention the *name of ﷲ͜عَزَّوَجَــــل even if you just place something over them; and put off your lights.”  (Bukhari)*

Headaches

Interesting
"...If the headache is in front of the head, its
treatment is sleeping.
If it's on top of the head, its treatment is eating
and drinking water. If the headache is at the
back of your head, then its treatment is releasing
stress.

The treatment of increasing the power of your
eyesight. This is very important to those whom
eyes are weak and also to everyone. Eye muscles
suffer as days pass by, which will lead to them
not capable of having eye contact the accurate
way.
In order to restore power in our eyesight and
keep them always powerful, we need to follow
the following sunnah in our salah. We should
always keep our eyes open during the sujuud and
stand up while looking at the sujuud spot and
keep your eyes focused on the spot of sujuud
throughout your salah. The wisdom behind
looking at the sujuud spot is that while in rukuu,
the eye muscles will pressure the lens to
increase vision and while you get up the eye
muscles will loosen. While in sujuud the lens will
shrink because of the distance between the eyes
and the ground. When you get up again it'll
loosen the eye muscles. This practice we are
doing each day is exercising our eye muscles. We
can perform each day 17 times or as much as
we want.
Our prophet (SAW) was always instructing to
open our eyes during sujuud and now scientists
have proven that this practice works in
increasing the power of eyesight.
Subhan Allah for this great wisdom of opening
our eyes during sujuud. This deserves to be read
and shared with others. Share and don't stop
yourself from getting reward from Allah swt ..."

A Non Muslim scientist proved we are more
electrically charged now than ever before due to
the electromagnetic radiations from the things
like:
Mobile, TV, AC, Microwave etc, and if we don't
want this radiation to harm us, we should place
our forehead on the floor more than once a day
as the earth can absorb radiation.
We Muslims are gifted With 5 Times Salaat to
touch our heads downs i.e. 92 Sajdahs everyday.
Subhaan Allah.!
There is always wisdom behind Allah's
commandments.

Allah is calling!

It often happens that I awake after midnite and simply cannot fall back to sleep.

But now I've discovered something beautiful about this.

It feels just like Allah (swt) is calling my name.
So i'm blessed that Allah (swt) has chosen me to wake up from my slumber and be one of the blessed few that pray Salaate Tahajjud.

May I and all of the ummati remain as the beloveds of Allah (swt).

The Caluph Uthman bun Affan (ra) and the well

There was a well in a part of Madinah belonging to a Jew. It was the only source of water in that part, and the Jew charged Muslims exorbitant amounts for water. Uthman (ra) offered to buy the well, but the Jew refused. Uthman (ra) then proposed to buy half of the well, with an agreement that each would fetch on alternate days. The Jew knew Uthman (ra) as a clever businessman, and was flattered to have him as a business partner, thinking that this would increase his sales.

The exact opposite happened... no one bought water from him again.

Uthman (ra) opened the well for Allah's sake, allowing people to fetch as they wanted. The people would fetch two days' supply on his day and ignore the Jew's day. Despondently, the Jew offerred Uthman (ra) the other half, which Uthman (ra) bought for 20,000 dirhams (really kind of Uthman, if me, I would have negotiated it down to almost zero, since it was now worthless to the Jew...

A few years later, a sahabi offered to buy up the well from Uthman (ra). He refused, saying that he had been offered much more. The man kept increasing his offer, and Uthman kept refusing on the ground that he had been offered much more. Baffled, the man asked him who had offered so much, and how much had been offered. Uthman (ra) said...

"Allah has offered ten times the reward for charity given to Muslims".

The well was kept for the free use of Muslims, up to and after the death of Usman (ra), but the story does not end yet...

During the Ummayyad dynasty, the well and the surrounding ground (still nominally in the name of Usman (ra) since it was charitable and not inherited) were kept for free use by Muslims. Date palms grew on the grounds, and grew numerous overtime. The dates were also harvested and given to charity in the name of Usman bin Affan (ra). This continued during the time of the Abbassid period and later.

In the present history of Saudi Arabia, the decision was made to organise it into a modern plantation. The money was shared into two parts, half to be given in charity, mainly to widows and orphans, the other half to be reinvested.
This plan was (and is still) being carried out. Today, a bank account exists in the name of Usman bin Affan, from which half of all moneys gained from the plantation are remitted, while the other half is still being given out as charity. Out of this money, an amount was invested into purchasing land around the Masjid anNabawi in Madinah. This was developed into a hotel and accomodation for visitors to the mosque, and as per arrangement, half the income was also given out as charity, while half is being remitted to the account to be reinvested.

As at now, disbursements from this charity, started off by the virtuous sahabi, Usman bin Affan, is upwards of SR50million monthly.

The well is known today as Bi'ir Uthman or Bi'ir Rummah. One charitable deed that has earned its giver rewards for over 14centuries.

May Allah reward the Companions of the Prophet (ﷺ), not only for their charitable deeds, but also for the help they provided in aiding our noble Prophet for us, and transmitting his message faithfully down to us for our own benefit. May Allah grant them jannat al alfirdaus and join us with them in the hereafter...Ameen
