Day of Regret

🍃🌷🌷🍃
One of the most disturbing realities about the Day of Judgement is that we will find ourselves unable to hand over a single good deed to our mother, father, child, spouse or friend, despite our intense love for them, for us  we also will be just as desperate for every good deed as they are.😢

On the other hand, we will be forced to hand over our good deeds to people whom you'd despised, people whom we would back stabbed, mocked, abused or oppressed in any way.

Isn’t it such a strange contrast?

All of a sudden, it becomes clear why one of the names of ( the day of Qayamah) this Day is ‘Yowmul Hasra’/ ‘The Day of regret’

وَأَنْذِرْهُمْ يَوْمَ الْحَسْرَةِ إِذْ قُضِيَ الْأَمْرُ وَهُمْ فِي غَفْلَةٍ وَهُمْ لَا يُؤْمِنُونَ

“And warn them of the Day of Regret, when the matter will be decided; and yet, they are in a state of carelessness, and they do not believe.” 😢😢

(Al-Qur’an, Surah 19, Ayah 39)

Dua for Pain

Uthman bin Abul-'As (RA) narrates: Rasulullaah Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam  visited me while i was in pain. The pain was so intense that i kept thinking to myself, i will die now. The Holy Prophet (Sallallahu Alayhi Wa Sallam) said, 'Massage the area with your right hand 7 times saying:

A'udhu bi'izzatillahi wa qudratihi wa sultanihi min sharri ma ajidu.'

Uthman (RA) narrates: "I did exactly that and Allah the Almighty removed my pain. After that I always told my family and acquaintances of this practise."

This is an authentic Hadith.

MIRACLES OF THE QURAAN.

THE WORLDS

Allah سسبحانه و تعالي says:

الحمد لله رب العالمين

"Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds."

(Quran 1:1)

This is the first verse of the opening chapter of the Holy Quran. 1400 years ago, the human mind was incapable of any sound thinking about the earth, the solar system or the galaxies. Yet the Quran is testifying to the presence of 'worlds' beyond the earth. The words 'Lord of the worlds' appear 73 times in the Quran.

Today, mankind knows for a fact there are other planets besides earth. This is known through invention of telescopes and other scientific developments. But the Almighty revealed this knowledge to Muhammad ( صلي الله عليه وسلم ) long before man invented the telescope and other similar inventions.

THE UNIVERSE WAS ONE ENTITY.

"Have they not who disbelieve seen that the heavens and earth were joined together (as one piece), and then We parted them."

(Quran 21:30)

This Quranic verse has explained a mystery that was unknown to the greatest physicists and astronauts for centuries. The verse reveals that the heavens and earth at the beginning were joined together, and then they were  separated.

Recent advancements in astronomy especially the Big Bang theory of the creation of the universe support this Quranic statement. The Big Bang theory says that about 20,000,000,000 years ago (...that's quite a bit...) the universe began with an explosive expansion of a single extremely condensed state of matter.

The Nobel Prize for science in 1977 was awarded for this discovery, whereas the Holy Quran solved this mystery centuries ago.

FERTILIZING  WINDS

"It is We Who send the fertilizing winds, then We send down water from the sky, and then We give it to you to drink, you are not the one who would store of this wealth."

(Quran 15:22)

Wind is one of the most effective means of spreading pollens, thereby causing fertilization in plants. This again is one of the recent discoveries in botany. Allah ( سبحانه وتعالى ), however, revealed this information in His book long before the modern-day botanists could discover it.

GENDER IN PLANTS

"He created the heaven without any pillars that you can see.We sent down rain from the sky, and produced on the earth every kind of noble species in pairs."

(Quran 31:10)

"Glory to Allah, Who created in pairs all things that the earth produces." (Quran 36:36)

These verses (amongst others) clearly declare the presence of gender in the plants. Botanists discovered this fact only 100 years ago. Muhammad (صلي الله عليه وسلم ) is not an expert botanist. It is obvious that this information was revealed by Almighty Allah to Muhammad (صلي الله عليه )

SEA WAVES

"(The unbelievers' state) is like a vast deep ocean, overwhelmed with waves, one over the other, and above it is a cloud of darkness upon darkness, one above another; if a man stretches out his hand, he can hardly see it."

(Quran 24:40)

One should note that the verse describes the state of Deep Ocean as consisting of great waves topped by other great waves one above the other. Mankind saw this phenomenon after the invention of the submarine. The first nuclear submarine became a reality in 1954 and the mystery of the deep seawaves were observed for the first time. Who besides Allah has given this deep-sea information to Muhammad ( صلي الله عليه وسلم )?

Nine lessons from Surah Hujrah

"When a glass is broken, the sound of breaking disappears immediately whereas the glass pieces are scattered over the ground hurting whoever walks over it".
Similarly, "when you say something that hurts people's emotions and feelings, the voice disappears immediately but the heart remains in pain for long."
Therefore, don't say anything except good and remember always the nine advises and prohibitions that Allah Almighty gave us in Suratul Hujurat (The Sura of Islamic manners) before you say something to anyone:
1.- ﻓﺘﺒﻴﻨﻮﺍ :
"Fa Tabayyanu": Investigate: when you receive an information, lest you harm people out of ignorance.
2.- ﻓﺄﺻﻠﺤﻮﺍ :
"Fa Aslihu": Make settlement: between your brothers as believers are brothers.
3.- ﻭﺃﻗﺴﻄﻮﺍ :
"Wa Aqsitu": Act justly: whenever there is a dispute try for settlement and act justly among both parties as Allah loves those who act justly.
4.- ﻻ ﻳﺴﺨﺮ :
"La Yaskhar": Don't ridicule people, perhaps they may be better than you to Allah.
5.- ﻭﻻ ﺗﻠﻤﺰﻭﺍ :
"Wa La Talmizu": Don't insult one another.
6.- ﻭﻻ ﺗﻨﺎﺑﺰﻭﺍ :
"Wa La Tanabazu": Don't call each other with offensive nicknames.
7.- ﺍﺟﺘﻨﺒﻮ ﻛﺜﻴﺮﺍ ﻣﻦ ﺍﻟﻈﻦ :
"Ijtanibu Kathiiran min Aldhan": Avoid negative assumptions, indeed some of the assumptions are sins.
8.- ﻭﻻ ﺗﺠﺴﺴﻮﺍ :
"Wa La Tajassasu": Don't spy on each other.
9.- ﻭﻻ ﻳﻐﺘﺐ ﺑﻌﻀﻜﻢ ﺑﻌﻀﺎ :
"Wa La Yaghtab": Don't backbite each other. Its a major sin equivalent to eating your dead brother's flesh.
Lastly Allah said in the Qur'an "Remind, for the reminder benefits believers".
*May Allah continue to Bless and Guide us in all our affairs*...
A'ameen. .

The secret to younger more radiant skin

Everyone's got their favorite tricks for younger, more radiant skin. But this ingredient tops the must-try lists of all the experts and has reams of scientific support.
Ask a dermatologist for her No. 1 skin-care recommendation and you know you'll hear something along the lines of: "Wear SPF! Seriously! What's it going to take to get you people to put it on?!" So we asked our experts for their second most important piece of advice, and every one of them said the same thing: "Use retinoids." These vitamin A derivatives have been proven to boost collagen production (reducing wrinkles and preventing fine lines), speed cell turnover (evening out discoloration and brightening skin tone) and unclog pores (making them look smaller and reducing acne). "I can always tell when clients use these. They have that dewy, fresh-faced look—like she just had a facial," says Emmy Graber, MD, a dermatologist and assistant professor of dermatology at the Boston University School of Medicine. You'll want to know these 4 things before giving retinoids a try.

Jealous of Pretty Women? Turn Your Envy into Inspiration

There can be a snide competition between women, where we allow other women to be beautiful …. to a point. Other women can be pretty, as long as they’re not too pretty. A woman can be beautiful, but if she’s also smart, organized, and a great mom? Forget it. We gossip about her and secretly love seeing her slip up. We alternate between wanting to be her and, well, hating her.

I remember a friend from college, a heartbreakingly beautiful girl who incited much envy from other girls. (I will be flat out honest and share how intimidated I was of her when we first met!) Her crime? She let her beauty shine:  she wore make-up, curled her hair and dressed stylishly. When girls spoke about her beauty behind her back, they would whisper, “But she wears a lot of make-up,” as if that could explain away her beauty.

This competitive drive, this need to label – am I beautiful? am I pretty? how pretty? where do I fall in the beauty spectrum? – keeps us from honoring our unique beauty. It squelches our individuality. Instead of enjoying our beauty, and trying to be our best selves, we act like junior high girls who all have to dress alike, talk alike, and look alike. Jealousy at work.

If we believe that we are in a giant, cosmic beauty pageant with other women, that other women’s beauty somehow diminishes our own, or if we are addicted to being the prettiest woman in the room, we will never feel good enough. Instead of befriending other women, or celebrating their gifts, we will see them as the enemy, and do everything we can to knock them down. Instead of befriending ourselves, and our own bodies, we will see them as the enemy, and do everything we can to knock them down.

I think of how I’ve spent much of my life trying to be someone other than me. Or, a better, improved version of me. Celebrate my gifts? My unique beauty, body, personality? No. When I was a teenager, with a boy’s body, I wanted breasts and hips and thighs like my friends. When I was a curvy new mother – with breasts and hips and thighs – I wanted to be like that young teenager. When I moved to Montana, I tried to show that, yes, I’m a part of the club:  I like the outdoors and camping and clogs. I dutifully traded my skirts and make-up for jeans and a parka.

The truth is I don’t like camping. I’d much rather wear a skirt and heels than jeans and clogs any day. I am emotional and tenderhearted and sensitive. This is me. This is who I am. All of my efforts to be more like everybody else only left me unhappy and lost. The truth is that I don’t fit in….when I’m trying to be someone other than myself.

I read this statement in Eat, Pray, Love last night:  “God dwells within you, as you.” I don’t have to change and be more like someone else to be okay. I am perfect … just as I am. I am beautiful …. just as I am. Inauthentic living – trying to be someone I’m not; trying to look like someone I’m not – and beauty are contradictory forces. I can’t be beautiful if I’m ashamed of who I am and what I like. I can’t be beautiful if I’m scrambling my energies trying to be more like my friends, my peers, or a model on a magazine. The most beautiful woman that I can be is … me.

As I free myself to be authentically, proudly me, I free other women. As I let my beauty shine, I open up a space for other women to shine. Sometimes, this means giving women permission to be drop dead beautiful – prettier than me – and to love them for it.

When we’re feeling jealous, we think someone else has something we don’t or can’t have. It can arise because we think beauty is a limited commodity – your beauty somehow takes away from my own, or vice versa. It becomes a scarce resource we fight over so we can get our “fair share.”

We can also feel jealous or criticize others when we’re living dishonestly. Instead of looking inside at how we compromise our integrity, we project these feelings onto others. Instead of feeling the regret or lack of authenticity, it’s much easier to feel jealous. It’s safe, because it can be all about someone else.

Last week, I met a friend for coffee. This is a woman with impeccable style. As long as I’ve known her, she’s looked like she stepped out of a magazine, even in her schleppiest clothes. It would be easy to envy her fantastic wardrobe, her great style, her trim body, her physical beauty. For years, I was envious – because she dressed like I wanted to dress … if I had the courage. Today, I admire her. I admire her courage to wear a skirt and knee high boots in the middle of a Montana winter – her authenticity – because it reminds me how much I love putting on a skirt and heels, and gives me the nudge forward to do so.

And yet the only way I could find that admiration was by – gulp – recognizing that the things she gave herself I didn’t allow myself to have.

Jealous feelings arise when we’re being inauthentic – silencing our style or our beauty, or, on a greater level, the very things that bring us happiness – and we see another woman who is expressing her style and beauty. We see her confidence in being true to herself and want the same for ourselves.  That woman pricks us, hooks us with envy, and brings that uncomfortable contrast to the surface. Jealousy.

Instead of using these feelings as cause to hate a pretty woman, or worse, to use them as ammunition to hate yourself for feeling jealous, I gently invite you to use that discomfort to unleash your true self. Use your envy like a pitchfork, to dig underneath whatever keeps you from being authentic and find that juicy, creative, beautiful manna that resides inside, just waiting to burst forth.  Jealousy is only a signpost, to guide you to a place where you feel lacking. Think about how you can fill that lack by being authentic to who you are, to your body, to your beauty, and then sharing that with the world.

Most importantly, forgive yourself for feeling jealous. It’s quite human, an attempt to protect ourselves from pain. In writing this article, and in honestly sharing how much I’ve felt jealous, I hope to normalize this emotion and talk about the elephant in the room – how much we can feel competitive towards each other.

Hopefully, as we meet our envy with kindness, we can soften it’s hold.

This is why this practice is important to me:  When we’re jealous of other women, when we’re competing with each other, we crumble the foundations of our very support. Women need each other. I’m reminded of this everyday, when a girlfriend or my mom or my aunt comes to my aid. While I adore my husband, and am bolstered by his support, it’s different. It is the women in my life who uphold me and understand my feminine journey.

And, likewise, I validate and support and uphold the women in my life, I increase the courage and strength of women everywhere, every time I let a beautiful woman be beautiful, a strong woman be strong, a pretty woman be pretty; every time I let me be me.

ADVICE FROM A DYING MAN

“I am only 34 years old....

The cancer diagnosis came too late to give me at least a tenuous hope for a long life, but I realized that the most important thing about death is to ensure that u leave this world a little better than it was before u existed .

Before, there were so many things that occupied my mind. When I learned how much time I had left, however, it became clear which things are really important.

Don’t waste ur time on work that u don’t enjoy. It is obvious that u cannot succeed in something that u don’t like. Patience, passion, & dedication come easily only when u love what u do.

It’s stupid to be afraid of others’ opinions. Fear weakens & paralyzes u. If u let it, it can grow worse & worse every day until there is nothing left of u, but a shell of urself. Listen to ur inner voice & go with it.

Take control of ur life. Take full responsibility for the things that happen to u. Limit bad habits (give them up completely) & try to lead a healthier life. Most of all, don’t procrastinate. Let ur life be shaped by decisions u made, not by the ones u didn’t.

Appreciate the people around u. Ur friends & relatives will always be an infinite source of strength & love. That is why u shouldn’t take them for granted.

We care so much about the health &  integrity of our body that until death, we don’t notice that the body is nothing more than a box – a parcel for delivering our personality, thoughts, beliefs & intentions to this world. If there is nothing in this box that can change the world, then it doesn’t matter if it disappears.
I believe that we all have potential, but it also takes a lot of courage to realize it.

U can float through a life created by circumstances, missing day after day, hour after hour. Or, u can fight for what u believe in & write the great story of ur life.
-
Leave a mark in this world. Have a meaningful life, whatever definition it has for u. Go towards it. The place we are leaving is a beautiful playground, where everything is possible. Yet, we are not here forever. Our life is a short spark in this beautiful little planet that flies with incredible speed to the endless darkness of the unknown universe. So, enjoy ur time here with passion.

Make it interesting. Make it count!"

WHETHER OR NOT WE HAVE BEEN DIAGNOSED WITH A TERMINAL ILLNESS, WE ARE ALL BEING FOLLOWED BY DEATH.
ARE WE READY FOR MALAKUL MAUT IF HE COMES TO TAKE OUR SOUL TODAY???

Oh Merciful Allah
take us in a condition pleasing to You & make our last day in this world the best day of our life.
آمـــــــــين يا رب العالمـــــــــين‎

اللهم إني أسألك خير هذا اليوم وخير ما بعده

Allahumma inni asalooka khayra hadhal yawma wa khayra maa ba'da

My Lord, I ask You for the good of this day & the good of what follows it.

Who is a Dayooth?

In an authentic narration, the Prophet Muhammad sallaAllahu alaihi wa sallam said

“The Dayooth will not enter Jannah.”

Daiyooth is the man who doesn’t have jealousy on his Maharaim (his mother, sister, wife …).

Abdullaah ibn ‘Umar(radhi`Allaahu anhu ) reported that the Prophet (salAllaahu alayhi wa sallam) said:

“Three people will not enter paradise, and Allaah will not look to them on the Day of Judgement: the one who is disobedient to his parents, the woman who imitates men and the ad-Dayooth.”
[Musnad Ahmad (2/134) No. 6180, Musnad al-Bazzar (12/270) No. 6051, al-Sunnan al-Kubra al-Nasa'i (2/63) No. 2354, al-Mu’jam al-Awsat al-Tabarani (3/51) No. 2443]

-the dayooth is a man who doesn't care if his family becomes corrupted
-he allows his wife and daughters to leave the home without hijab
Ad-Dayooth is the man who permits women for whom he is responsible (eg: mother, wife, sister etc.) to engage in illicit relations, or to display their beauty to strange men, thereby stimulating their sexual desires.

He is the man who would SHOW OFF his wife (or any of his mahram female), her beauty and her style in front of men.

He is the one who doesn’t protect her from the eager eyes of strangers (non Mahram).

He is the one who accepts that his wife go out with him wearing perfume, putting make up and wearing attractive clothes as if she is an item for sale to others.

He is the man who is pleased by the admiring glances from stranger men toward his wife.

He would let his sister/his daughter go out with tight clothes, without her Hijab.

He is the man who knows that his sister/his daughter has a boyfriend but he doesn’t care.

He never has Jealousy on her and would let her show her charm to any one.

We ask Allah to show us the truth and help us to follow it, and to show us falsehood and help us to avoid it.

And Allah knows best.

>Memorizing the Entire Qur’an in 2 months!

>As-salaamu `alaykum

I recently heard an incredibly amazing account told by Shaykh Yasir Salamah, one of the leading Imams and recitors of Egypt. In his audio tape ‘When will I see you as a Haafidh?’ he speaks of the true account of Muhammad, a brother who after attending a workshop on memorising Qur’aan and utilising all the available mediums, went on to memorise the entire Qur’aan within just 50 days (i.e 2 months)

Within 2 months?!

Yes. Within 2 months. This is his account and he says:

“I declared a state of Jihad upon my soul and put death before my eyes. I made an intention to memorise the Noble Qur’aan. So I abandoned telephone calls and unnecessary visits, and I changed all the negative thoughts associated with hifdh (memorisation) to positive and practical ones e.g. When a thought came to me saying ‘I can’t do it!’ I’d say, ‘I can do it.’ If it said, ‘My memory is weak!’ I’d say ‘I take pleasure in having a great memory.’

I chose the masjid as the place of my hifdh as it preserves three:

1. The eyes

2. The ears

3. The tongue

I followed a specific dietary program consisting of eating dates, fruits and honey – and fasting helped me a great deal in that. I used to wake up before salaat al-Fajr by 2 and a half hours and I slept 2 hours after ‘Isha. I used to wake up for Tahajjud (the night prayer), prolonging my sujood wherein I would call upon Allaah ta’alaa to ease for me my affair. I would also seek forgiveness 100 times.

I began to memorise 5 pages and would recite them in the Sunnah prayers of Fajr. After salaat al-Fajr, I would begin the memorisation of 5 new pages and at the end, I would recite them in the 2 raka’ahs of salaat al-Duhaa, all the time thanking Allaah for easing the memorisation.

I would perfect the recitation of what I had memorised by listening to tapes of one of the recitors. I would read about the qiraa’ah in books or via the Muqaddimah al-Jazariyyah (poem on the ahkam of tajweed).

After salaat al-Dhuhr, I would repeat everything that I had memorised previously beginning from the 1st Juz, until salaat al-’Asr. After the ‘Asr prayer, I would repeat the new portion of hifdh and the juz before. After the Maghrib prayer, I would prepare the recitation of 10 new pages and it was only after salaat al-’Isha that I’d review the Qur’aan with my teacher, may Allaah reward him well.

Before retiring to bed, I would listen to all that I memorised in the day from cassettes and I would be sitting for 6 continuous hours, without any boredom or feeling tired. In the 1st week, I would sit for 6 hours, memorising and revising. In the 2nd week, I would sit for 8 hours. In the 3rd week, it was 10 hours and in the 4th week, it was 12 hours. In the last 10 days, I was sitting for 14 hours memorising and revising.

The hardest times for me were when it came to sleeping and eating. I ardently wished that the period of sleep would end quickly so that I could start my hifdh of the Noble of Qur’aan. Everytime I began to read the Qur’aan and memorise, I felt such delight and enjoyment that I had never felt before. Du’a was an important factor for me before and after hifdh. I would memorise a page whilst sitting down and then repeat it whilst walking. My teacher played an important role in encouraging me, in revision, in correcting me and benefiting me in terms of Tajweed.

In the last week, on the night of 20th Ramadan, only 4 and a half juz remained until completion of hifdh. So I turned to Allaah to open up my way and ease it for me. I went on to memorise it in 6 days with the Help of Allaah.

Laylatul-Qadr came, the night of delight and happiness – it was like a wedding night to me. My completion of hifdh took place between Maghrib and ‘Isha in the masjid with the Imam and those in I’tikaaf. We began the khatma (reciting from beginning till end of the Book). In the end, during the du’aa, my heart opened up greatly and I began to weep like never before. It was the most beautiful hour of my life. Allaah had honoured me with the memorisation of His Book.

During the du’aa, I remembered a dream I had more than 10 years ago… I was a Mu’adhin of a mosque and after Fajr salaah, I sat remembering Allaah in the mosque. I felt sleepy so I took a nap in the middle of the mosque, and behold! I found myself amidst a gathering. A powerful ray of light descended from the sky down to the middle of the masjid. From that light came many angels and between them were 2 big Angels. One of them turned towards me and took me to the light. I entered along with the 2 angels. I then found myself on top of a large green tree – I began to climb it in the companionship of the 2 angels. We found angels standing by the door of the 1st heaven. They said to me ‘Where are you going?’ They opened up a book and said, ‘We don’t have your name with us, so climb onwards to the top.’ And likewise, all the time (through each heaven), they said the same thing to me.

Upon arriving at the 7th heaven, we reached the end of the tree. I found angels standing at the door and they said, ‘Are you Muhammad?’ I said, ‘Yes.’ They said, ‘Enter, for the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) wants you.’ I said to the 2 angels that were with me ‘Come in with me.’ They said, ‘We can’t enter. But we will wait for you.’ So I entered Jannah and behold, I saw therein what no eye has seen, no ear has heard and had never entered in the heart of Man. Angels were surrounding me and there was a door, on top of it was written لا إله إلا الله محمد رسول الله. جنة الفردوس (There is no God but Allaah and Muhammad is His Messenger. Al-Firdaws Paradise).

The Angels opened the door and I entered. Before me was the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) sitting at the top end and beside him were men, some that I recognised and some that I didn’t. In front of him were a very large group of men, women and children. They wore white clothes, and they were so many that they had a beginning but no end. All of them were reciting Qur’aan.

The Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) called me and I went up to him. He got up and made some space for me. I kissed him and he sat me down besides him. I asked him ‘Who are these people O Messenger of Allah?’ He said, ‘These are the people who have memorised the Book of Allaah `azza wa jall.’

Inshaa’Allaah ta’ala, the dream ended in truth. I never spoke to anyone about it until the night that I completed the memorisation of the Qur’aan.”

Allahu Akbar, if this is not tawfeeq from Allaah and determination… I don’t know what is!

HOW TO WIN THE HEART OF YOUR ZAWJ

BEING A LECTURE PRESENTED TO SINGLE AND MARRIED WHATSAPP GROUP ON 7TH RAJAB 1438AH (04/04/2017) BY LOUQMAAN IBN MUHAMMAD (ABU-ZAYD)

Innal hamda lillahi, na’muduhu wa nastainuhu wa nastagfirhu. Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem. Wa solatu wasalam ‘ala Nabiyyina Muhammad wa aalihi wa as-habihi wasallam.
.
Assalamu alaykum warahmatullah

The topic given to me is HOW TO WIN THE HEART OF YOUR ZAWJ

InshaAllah, we shall be looking at the following during our discussion:

* DEFINITION OF ZAWJ
* MARRIAGE OF NOWADAYS
* HOW TO WIN THE HEART OF YOUR ZAWJ
* CONCLUSION

DEFINITION OF ZAWJ
Before anything, I feel it’s necessary to define the meaning of the word “ZAWJ” because many people misunderstood and/or misuse the word.

The Arabic word, ZAWJ (meaning spouse in English) is your companion, your mate, your partner. In the olden times, Zawj was used as a verb meaning “to marry,” but nowadays, it functions as a noun referring to either *husband* or *wife*.

That is, your spouse (zawj) is the person to whom you are married; your husband or wife. Even though, some people still use Zawj for husband and Zawjatu for wife. Wallahu a’lam.

MARRIAGE OF NOWADAYS
If every day of the marriage mirrors the first day of marriage, and every night reflects the first night of marriage, then marriage is an euphoric experience in this world. The first couple of months are always a ‘honeymoon’.  Once the couple settle down, then reality begins.  Many couples fail at this point.  The husband gets engrossed in his job.  He comes home tired and late, feeling hungry and tired.  He demands for the food and feels lazy to do anything.  He eats, puts the dirty plates in the sink and lies down on the sofa.

He might awaken to perform salah if he is conscious of salah.  Otherwise, he wakes up later on towards the night, phones a few friends, watches TV and keeps ordering the wife to get him x and y.  When it is time to sleep, if the husband is in a good mood he will have relations with his wife-but only to satisfy his needs.  Once he is fulfilled, he stops and drops off to sleep.  Whether the wife is satisfied or not does not even cross his mind.  This becomes the routine of his life.

The wife on the other hand, initially tries to please her husband.  She slowly loses her enthusiasm as she does not receive enough attention from her husband.  She cooks to please her husband.  She will put effort into her food.  She will try and perfect every detail in the food.  The presentation, ingredients and spices are put meticulously so they complement each other.

After a while she became tired of the good work.  As soon as the husband goes to work, she is on the phone to her associates and watches TV.

This style of marriage wherein there is no affection and no real emotion is heading towards destruction. Wallahul musta’an!!!
HOW TO WIN THE HEART OF YOUR ZAWJ
InshaAllah, if the spouse is observing the following, an everlasting happy home is guaranteed. Infact, if I have a wife doing the following, she would be the queen of my Empire …. Lol
The husband and wife have to bond with one another psychologically, physically and spiritually. Here are some attractive points we need to adopt to win the heart of our Zawj:

1) Know their feelings
The husband and wife should be aware of each other’s feelings.  The husband should be able to gauge when his wife is upset or sad, likewise the wife should be able to read her husband’s behaviour.  By being conscious of one another’s feelings, it will help resolve any differences. When your spouse is down or upset, be there to console him/her.

The Prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam once said to Sayyidah Aisha radiallahu anha : “I know well when you are pleased or angry with me. Aisha replied: How you know that? He said: When you are pleased with me you swear by saying “By the God of Mohammad” but when you are angry you swear by saying “By the God of Ibrahim”. She said: You are right, I don’t mention your name.”

2) Console her
This is another feature a marriage must have.  Each spouse has to be there for the other in the good and bad times.  The wife should find comfort and solace in the husband and the husband should find warmth and love in his wife.  Be gentle with one another.

Sayyidah Safiyah radiallahu anha was on a journey with the Prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam.  She was late so the Prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam received her while she was crying. The Prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam wiped her tears with his own hands and tried his utmost to calm her down.

3) Laying in the wife’s lap
How many times have we rested in the lap of our spouse? These gestures may seem trivial but they are the acts which bring the hearts close.  The wife can sense and see the love of her husband for her in such actions. She will appreciate this gesture greatly.

The Prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam would recline in the lap of our beloved mother Sayyidah Aisha radaillahu anha even in the state when she would be menstruating.  The Prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam would recite the Qur῾ān whilst reclining in his wife’s lap.

4) Combing the spouse’s hair:
This is how close a couple has to be.  Love evolves and grows to such an extent that a spouse yearns to do everything for the other spouse even if it simply combing their hair.  To maintain a high intensity of love, do the little things for your spouse also.  Little acts have a huge psychological impact on the mind of the spouse.

Aisha radiallahu anha would comb the hair of the Prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam and wash his hair.

5) Drinking and eating from one place:
Do things together with your wife.  Do not just eat at the same time and on the same tablecloth, but eat from the same plate.  This will bond the hearts so close to one another.  When everything your wife comes into contact with becomes more beloved to you than food itself, imagine the flame of love in your lives?

Aisha radiallahu anha would drink from a cup.  The Prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam would take this cup and search for the place where the lips of his beloved wife made contact.  Upon finding the place where his wife drank from the cup, he would put his lips on the very same place so that his lips have touched the place where her lips touched.

6) Kissing:
Compliment your spouse often with kisses.  When exiting the house, make it habit you leave by coming into contact with your spouse.  When returning home, along with saying salām to her, show that you have missed her dearly. When she is working or busy in her household chores, surprise her with a kiss.  You have to show your love.  Love is the fuel of marriage; if you desire your marriage to progress, you have to express your love in every way you can.

The Prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam would kiss his wife regularly.  Even when he salallahu alaihi wasallam would be fasting, he would kiss his wife.

7) Lifting the morsel to her mouth
The husband and wife should make these gentle gestures to exhibit their love and appreciation.  Feed your spouse with your own hands now and then.  This will rekindle the flame of love in your marriage.

The Prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam said: If you spend an amount you will be rewarded for it, even when you lift the morsel to your wife’s mouth.”

8) Assisting her in the housework:
Without being asked, if the couple help each other in day to day activities, it will make one appreciate the other.  Likewise, one should try his best not to demand his/her spouse to do things too much.  Whatever one can do himself, he should do.  We need to be considerate of the spouse.  The wife works tirelessly all day.  So if the husband was to be considerate and realise his wife works hard, this will touch the wife.  Likewise, if the wife was to go out of her way to see to the needs of her husband being considerate, it will induce a great spark of love between the two.

The Prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam would clean and help at home.  He would see to his needs himself rather than demanding his wife.  He would clean and see to his clothing himself.

9)Dress for your spouse
This is another area where many spouses fail.  The wife only dresses when it is a special occasion.  The husband on the hand stays scruffy and does not take care to be neat and tidy.  If the couple want their everyday to be a special occasion like their wedding day, they must dress to impress!
The wife should wear the clothing which pleases her husband. Likewise, the husband should wear what the wife likes.

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbas radiallahu anhu said: “As my wife adorns herself for me, I adorn myself for her. I do not want to take all of my rights from her so that she will not take all of her rights from me because Allah, the Exalted, stated the following: “And women shall have rights similar to the rights against them.” (Qur῾an 2 :228.)

10)Utilising perfume:
One should make an effort to smell good for his wife all the time. Looking good, keeping clean, smelling nice compliments a relationship exceptionally.  Make sure you hair is tidy, your clothes are neat and you smell pleasant.  This will attract your spouse always and inject affection into the marriage.

The Prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam would have a container for perfume.  He would use perfume constantly.

11) Loving & respecting their families
Another great factor to contribute to a healthy relationship is to love and cherish the family of your spouse.  The Prophet salallahu alaihi wasallam was once asked whom he loved the most.  He replied, “Aisha.”  When the questioner rephrased his question and asked from amongst the men, he replied, “Her father.”

Imagine how happy his wife Sayyidah Aisha would have become upon hearing this response?

Compliment your in laws in front of your wife.  Compliment your wife to her family.  Your wife will really appreciate this.

Although all these cant be achieved at a time, but working on them one point at a time consistently would make solve a lot of marital problems.

CONCLUSION
Many of us treat our spouses in ways that we would never treat others. With others, we try to be polite, kind, and patient. With our spouses, we often do not show these courtesies. Of course, we are usually with our spouses at our worst times … when we are tired and frustrated after a hard day. The wife has probably also had a hard day with the children and the housework. Wives and husbands should discuss this potential time-bomb so that if they are short-tempered with each other during these times, they will understand the reasons rather than automatically thinking that their spouse no longer loves them.

According to the famous saying, “actions speak louder than words.”  Show your spouse you love her. Therefore, every time the husband and wife glance at each other, the glance should arouse them and ignite more love in their hearts. Also, the husband should never underestimate the importance of seemingly little things as opening the car’s door for his wife, etc.
Most importantly, they should find some time to pray together. Strengthening the bond between them and Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala is the best guarantee that their marital bond would always remain strong.
May Allah bless our marriages and make our homes to be romantic gardens.

🔴 The earth is protesting by way of its tremors! Beware, O people!

– extracts from a Majlis of Mufti Zubair Bayat of Durban in November 2013

(The recent occurrence of a magnitude 4 earth tremor in Johannesburg on the 18th of November 2013 is evidence that earth is dissatisfied with the actions of those who inhabit it. These were the sentiments of respected Mufti Zubair Bayat, head of the Darul Ihsan Islamic Services Centre in KwaZulu Natal. He mentioned this in Masjid Taqwa, Seacowlake at a Majlis programme)

– “This is a sign of Allah SWT and a warning for the people of our country”.

– “While South Africa had been spared from any major natural disaster in our recent history,  conditions could change rapidly based on our actions.”

– “We are very fortunate, that, to a great extent, we have been safeguarded and protected by Allah SWT in this country. At most, we have some floods – but it is not of a magnitude that hundreds of thousands are affected.”

– “Now and then, Allah SWT gives us a wake-up call and an awakening so that we can repent, make amends, reform and change before it is too late.”

– “The earth also has its way of conveying its message to man – we are familiar with human beings protesting for different reasons. The earth also protests. And the protests of the earth is by these tremors and quakes we see from time to time.”

– “The earth is saying “Enough!” and cannot bear any more the burden of the sins of mankind. It is saying: ‘I cannot bear these transgressions of human beings occurring on my surface anymore’.

– “These occurrences are meant to induce man to take heed of his sins and repent. Following this course of action, would result in the earth ‘calming down.’

– “However, failing such a response, mankind’s continued transgressions and heedlessness would only become a source for even greater regret.”

– “When the actual event happens, it will be too late to turn back the clock. Once an earthquake sets in motion, there is no force on earth (other than Allah SWT) who can turn it back.”

– “We should become less preoccupied with the scientific explanations behind such events, and become more introspective into our ways of lives. There’s no point knowing about the how, we need to know about the why”.

– “A Hadith wherein the Mother of the Believers, Aishah RA highlighted certain misdeeds which make conditions ripe for the occurrence of such disasters. “When a woman removes her clothes in a house other than her husbands (an indication towards adultery), she tears the veil between her and Allah. When she applies perfume to please a male other than her husband, this will be a source of fire and a blemish for her. When the people then begin to commit adultery, consume alcohol and use musical instruments, Allah becomes enraged above the heavens and orders the Earth to shake them. If they repent and refrain, then it is good for them, otherwise Allah will cause it to fall upon them.” [Mustadrak al-Haakim (4/561) No. 8575 and Kitab Al-Fitan (2/619) No. 1729]

– “They are warning signs, but sometimes mankind is so steeped in heedlessness that they cannot even understand what is a warning from Allah SWT.”

– “Previous experience shows that animals are even perceptive to the warnings of natural disasters, whilst human beings are still in a slumber.”

– “Istighfaar (repentance) in great abundance is a critical ingredient for warding off such tragedies.”

-“Give Sadaqah (charity) to cool the anger of Allah.”

– “Beware of wayward behavior and patronizing ‘places of sin’. Never set foot in those environments.”

– “It is time now to hasten towards the environments of piety and Taqwa. Sit with the pious people, go out in the path of Allah, attend Deeni (religious) programmes, initiate Taleem (learning) circles at home, do the Zikr of Allah excessively, improve Akhlaaq (character), start doing good actions, as one good action draws and attracts another good action, in this manner we will be safeguarded, inshallah”.

The Hadith of Jibreel

On the authority of Umar (r) who said: One day while we were sitting with the Messanger of Allah (s), there came before us a man with extremely white clothing and extremely black hair. There were no signs of travel on him and none of us knew him. He [came and] sat next to the Prophet (s). He supported his knees up against the knees of the Prophet (s) and put his hand on his thighs. He said, ‘O Muhammad, tell me about Islam.’  The Messanger of Allah (s) said, ‘Islam is to testify that there is none worthy of worhsip except Allah and that Muhammad is the Messanger of Allah, to establish the prayers, to pay the zakat, to fast [the month of] Ramadan, and to make pilgrimage to the House if you have the means to do so.’ He said, ‘You have spoken truthfully [or correctly].’ We were amazed that he asks the question and then says that he had spoken truthfully. He said, ‘Tell me about Imaan (faith).’ He [the Messanger of Allah (s)] responded, ‘It is to believe in Allah, His angles, His books, His messangers, the Last Day and to believe in the divine decree, [both] the good and the evil thereof.’ He said, ‘You have spoken truthfully.’ He said, ‘Tell me about al-Ihsaan (goodness).’ He [the Prophet (s)] answered, ‘It is that you worship Allah as if you see Him. And even though you do not see Him, [you know] He sees you.’ He said, ‘Tell me about [the time of] the Hour,’ He [the Prophet (s)] answered, ‘The one being asked does not know more than the one asking.’ He said, ‘Tell me about it’s signs.’ He answered, ‘The slave-girl shall give birth to her master, and you will see the barefooted, scantily-clothed, destitiute shepards competing in constructing lofty buildings.’ Then he went away. I stayed for a long time. Then he [the Prophet (s)] said, ‘O Umar, do you know who the questioner was?’ I said, ‘Allah and His Mesanger know best.’ He said, ‘It was [the angel] Gabriel who came to teach you your religion.’  (Recorded in Muslim)

SubhanAllah. This is such a beautiful, expansive, comprehensive hadith. It touches upon almost every deed of Islam, and deals with inner and outer aspects of the worship of Allah.

🍃🌺🍃 The Qur'an amazes a sailor

"(The unbelievers' state) is like a vast deep ocean, overwhelmed with waves, one over the other, and above it is a cloud of darkness upon darkness, one above another; if a man stretches out his hand, he can hardly see it; For anyone to whom Allah gives no light, there is no light."

Al Quran, Surah An-Noor
( 24:40)

Gary Miller in his book, "The Amazing Quran" stated the following story: A Muslim gave a copy of the Holy Quran to a man who was a merchant marine. This man knew nothing about the history of Islam.

When he finished reading the Holy Qur'an, he asked his Muslim friend: "This man Muhammad  صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ , was he a sailor? When he was told that Nabi  صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ lived in a desert and probably did not even see an ocean during his whole life, he embraced Islam on the spot.

اَللَّهُ اَكْبَر!!!

He acknowledged that this description of the Holy Qur'an could only be described by one who had actually seen the sea storms many times, whereas Nabi  صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ  never witnessed this phenomenon.

That is the beauty of the Holy Qur'an and our beloved Nabi  صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ 💝
