Malva pudding and custard


1cup castor sugar
1egg
11/2tab jam
Beat well
11/4 cup flour
1tsp bakin powder
Pinch salt
Sift add to above
11/2 tab melted butter
1cup milk
1tsp bicarbonate
1tsp vinegar
Mix well. Add to above
Bake 180.  25-30 min
Sauce:
1/4 butter
11/4 cup sugar
11/4 cup milk
250 ml fresh cream ( I add little less)
1tsp water
Boil pour ova cake while hot
Njoy with custard ultramel

Malva Pudding
1 cup sugar 1 egg 1 tablespoon apricot jam 1 cup cake flour 1/4 cup self-raising flour 1 teaspoon baking powder Pinch salt 1 tablespoon melted butter 1 teaspoon vinegar 1 cup milk 1 teaspoon bicarbonate of soda
Syrup:
1 cup fresh cream or ideal milk 4 tablespoons butter 1 cup sugar 1/2 cup water 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
Method:
whisk the sugar, egg and jam together. Add the sifted dry ingredients and mix well. - stir the butter, vinegar, milk and bicarbonate of soda together in a bowl. Add to the batter and whisk until well combined. - pour into well greased muffin tins or alternatively, into one large ovenproof dish. - bake in a moderate oven until a skewer comes out clean when poked into the center. - pour syrup over hot pudding. Serve as desired.
Syrup Method:
stir all the ingredients for the syrup together in a saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a boil then remove from heat. Allow to cool.
